General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 5-Dec-2000

TODAY's version of GENERAL HOSPITAL had its share of true PEAKS. To most teens, I am almost certain that they watched eagerly as Lucky and Liz consummated their love in a cozy liitle candle-lit inn. Both were somewhat nervous and awkward, but with tenderness and sincerity, these two bonded sexually for the first time. It was the first for these virgins PERIOD. LIZ said to Lucky " MY soul,body, and spirit will love You forever." One important lesson gleaned from this union is that they discussed it ,and took precautionary measures.GH tries to send some straight messages to our teens ...
The second important peak was when Stefan and Chloe showed up at the hospital. Tony and all present were so shocked! After running tests on Chloe, A tired Stefan and cautious Chloe were told that her condition was not as good as he had desired it to be. When Nicholas hugged his "BORN AGAIN" uncle, it was very poignant. After all, Nick does love him more as a DAD. In the meantime, Luke and Felicia do an impersonation of Darius and Olga, a bro and sis who are kin to the CASSADINES. At one point they are hiding as Helena tells her attorney to draw up papers to have Nicholas committed to an institution. She says that Nick is WILD, out of touch, and hanging out with GIA who is not a good influence. Felicia argues with Darius, I mean, a disguised Luke that Nick must be told that Helena plans to deem him incompetent. Thank Goodness , Stefan is back and ALIVE to protect his beloved Nick against his malicious, conniving so-called grandmother. Alexis tells Stefan that she will marry ED, and Stefan remarks:"That is absurd". NO ONE can trust ED's track record in marriage except, of course, Alexis.
Two uncanny episodes took place which put SOREL , THE MOBSTER,in the middle. First, Bobbie and Roy could have been fatally hurt because her car had no brakes. Thankfully, They are ok, but Roy suspects tampering by Sorel's thugs. The 2nd. Sorel moment involved Carly while she was waiting in the park ALONE for Sonny to join her. Sorel made some caustic remarks to her, and then Sonny appeared. He asked Sorel to stay away from Carly.Sorel asked Sonny to quit protecting Zander Smith or due harm could result. Later a pensive , rather sullen Sonny told Carly that he would never let her get hurt. Sonny is definitely bonding openly with "HIS CARLY".Carly is excited about working for DECEPTION ,but she is showing envy of Laura's domain. Speaking of Laura, Nicholas tells her that Stefan is alive. Laura says that she is glad, but that she no longer loves his uncle.WOW!
A sad Chloe tells a caring ED that she thinks Jax followed Brenda to wherever she is. A lovely Gia looks puzzled as Stefan and Nicholas go home together. Jackie
