General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 21-Nov-2000

At Alexis' shower Gia hands Alexis the present from Carly. Carly realizes what happens and tries to stop Alexis but she is too late and Alexis holds up the teddy and the reporters take pictures. Carly thinks she can remidy the problem by having Johnny take the film away from the reporters but Alexis stops her. Alexis explains to Carly that since they invited the press it wouldn't be a good idea to strong arm them into giving back the pictures and they would just crucify her in the papers. Carly apoligizes to the reporters saying she overreacted but their time is up and they have to leave. Monica rips into Carly saying that Carly planned to have Alexis open the teddy in front of the reporters (We know that Emily brought the present downstairs and Carly was trying to do the right thing) Monica warned Alexis that anything Carly was involved in will go wrong. Gia and Lila stood up for Carly but it didn't do any good. After everyone leaves Carly tells Alexis to go ahead and yell at her. Carly tells Alexis that she only wanted to give Alexis the perfect bridal shower. Alexis asks why and Carly tells her she realy appreciated Alexis bing there for her on her wedding day and more or less hanging around with her because she doesn't really have too many girl friends. Alexis tells her that all that went wrong wasn't Carly's fault. They seem like they may actually becoming friends. Sonny comes home and Carly tells him about the disasterous party.
Sonny tells Carly that people like Monica aren't important and Carly shouldn't let her have so much power over her. Carly says that only him and Michael thinks she is a good person but then Sonny tells her Laura wants to work with her at Deception.

Alexis shows Ned her new teddy and tells him about the picture. Ned says from now on they are going to micromanage the press but Alexis reminds him that so far nothing has worked.

Luke and Felicia are at Kelly's discussing Luke's latest disguise, Felicia smells something but Luke thinks it is just her hair shampoo. Felicia insists that it is smoke but Luke assures her that if there was a fire the smoke alarm would go off...and it does. Luke rushes into the kitchen to put out the fire as Felicia tells him to use baking soda instead of water which of course Luke doesn't listen to and throws water onto the fire making it worse. The fire company shows up. Luke is trying to get into Kelly's to see what they are doing and Felicia holds him back, meanwhile Mac shows up. Felicia tells him the girls are ok and where they are, Mac is short with her telling her he trusts her judgement. Felicia gets upset after Mac storms off. She leaves. Luke tells Tammy to go to bed and he will clean up the fire. Felicia comes back to help Luke with the clean-up.

Lucky comes home early and finds Liz half dressed in his room. Liz is embarressed but explains that she trusts Lucky and doesn't want to wait because of her. She wants to make Lucky whole again just like he did for her. She asks him to finally make love to her and he agrees. Liz hears the smoke alarm but Lucky assures her that the building is old and the alarm goes off for no reason. They talk about being each others first and how nervous they both are, Lucky tells her that at any time she wants to stop he will. As Liz and Lucky are kissing the fire department knocks on the door and tells them they have to leave. When they go outside Liz remembers another fire a year ago. Liz is very upset remembering when she was given the subway token and told it was found on the body. Liz tells Lucky that all of the firemen remind her of the night she was told he was dead. She tells him all the events, from her point of view, of the fire that "killed" him. She says that night was all based on lies and she doesn"t want to think about it ever again.


Zander tells Emily that he will testify against Cerell and Emily is so happy that she kisses him. She apoligizes but Zander is happy he tells her that the kiss was between them for a long while and she is the reason that he came back from Canada. Emily insists they are only friends but Zander insists that there is more to their relationship than friendship that is why she keeps coming back and getting help for him everytime he needs it and lying to the police for him. She says he is a drug dealer and kidnapper and she is a high school kid and that it will not work and she walks out.

Laura tells Sonny that she is ready to accept his terms for lending her the money for Deception. Laura asks Sonny for a trial period working with Carly. Sonny convinces Laura that Carly is loyal and hard working and they don't need a trial period. He also tells Laura that she and Carly are alot alike. (Laura doesn't seem to like this) Laura finally agrees to the loan on Sonny's terms.
They have to leave because the Grill is closing for a private party.

Hannah walks into the Grill from one door and A.J. comes in from another door and tells her Welcome to my birthday party. (No one else is there). Hannah tells A.J. that they are only friends and if he doesn't stop trying to push himself romanatically on her then they won't have even that. A.J. asks for one dance, Hanah declines. Hannah hesitates as she leaves but she does leave. Later A.J. is sitting alone at the table drinking. Happy Birthday to me.
