Liz and Lucky check in to their NYC hotel room. The hotel goofed and didn't have two single rooms available, so they accept an upgraded suite instead. Liz is thrilled with the large room, the balcony, and that they're sharing a room.
At Kelly's, Gia wants to borrow Nik's Jaguar. Nik's gives her the "as if." She says she has to look impressive when she's out job hunting; she can't take the bus. Nik won't be her roommate and her chauffer. He can't take her; he has a meeting with his attorney. They continue their cutesy bickering for a bit, then he gives her change for bus fare and she leaves.
At the Q's, Ned & Alexis fret over where the reception will be held. Alan and Monica come in; Alan demands to know why Alexis is defending the man that held her daughter at gunpoint.
At the PC Grille, Laura shmoozes Amanda Barrington for financial backing for Deception. Amanda questions Laura's business experience.
At the penthouse, Sonny plays with Michael while Carly watches from the stairs. Leticia takes Michael to the park. Sonny asks Carly if she got an earful. Carly says she saw how much he loves her son and how much he misses his Mike.
Carly guilts Sonny some more about Mike & Sonny's broken relationship. Sonny tells her to go out and find a company so he can buy it for her, but he won't yank Deception out from under Laura. Carly tells him she can't buy her.
Laura tells Amanda that she worked as a model once, but other than that, she has no experience in the cosmetics industry, but she did run the GH Youth Outreach program, she's traveled the world, and she can think on her feet. Amanda reminds her that she has no experience running a company, no professional backing, no contacts, no track record, and no assurance of product placement. She can't even get a business loan from a bank. Sorry Laura, but she can't possibly finance this dream, and she doubts if anyone would.
Liz & Lucky reminisce about their last time in NYC, bringing up all the sweetly romantic details we never saw because they all happened offscreen.
Alan and Monica continue berating Alexis about defending Zander, the drug-dealing, kidnapping, cop-killer. Alexis says she's doing it because Emily asked her to and they both believe he's innocent. Alexis feels no need to back down and if Monica and Alan want to discuss the case further, they should make an appointment and expect a bill. Alexis leaves. Monica is afraid Alexis just might get an acquittal. Ned sides with Alan and Monica; Monica wants Ned to get Alexis to resign from the case. Ned says he and Alexis don’t tell each other what to do. He won't undermine Alexis. Alan tells Monica he's starting to agree with Edward -- it's time to send Emily to boarding school.
At Kelly's, Alexis tells Nik that she's marrying Ned, and asks if he'll give her away. Nik says he's honored.
