General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 1-Nov-2000

At Kelly's, Ned and Alexis talk about their wedding plans. She doesn't want to be walked down the aisle and "given away" by a man, so she plans to ask Nikolas to escort her instead.

Sonny arrives and Tammy asks him if he's seen Mike.

Mike shows up at the penthouse and Carly answers the door.

At the Halloween/birthday party at the brownstone, Maxie makes googoo eyes at Lucky.

At Luke's club, Laura demands to know what happened between him, Nikolas and Helena. She angrily asks if Lucky and Elizabeth hadn't shown up, would he have hurt her son?

Luke tells her it's not about payback, and that Lucky is programmed deeper than even he knows. He tells her that his brain is booby-trapped and his triggered behavior is Helena's secret. He tells her that Gail Baldwin confirmed that it is possible. Laura tells him that if he ever does anything to hurt her son [Nikolas], that she'll never forgive him, and Lucky won't either.

Felicia tells Bobbie about Maxie's secret crush on Lucky. Mac arrives with a big gift box for Maxie. Lucky and Liz say their goodbyes and leave.

Back at Kelly's, Ned & Alexis engage in more tedious banter about the wedding preparations.

Tammy and Sonny rehash their conversation about her worries over Mike and his problems. Sonny tells her to leave him out of it.

Mike leaves and tells Carly not to tell Sonny that he'd stopped by.

At the hospital, Monica tells Alan she's looking for Dr. Townsend. Her period is late. It could be the hormones she's been taking but she's not certain.

At the party, Maxie opens her big present from Mac -- it's a gift certificate.

Lucas asks Tony if he's mad at him and why Tony doesn't like Roy. Tony assures him he's not mad at Lucas or Bobbie, and that he just wants him to takes his friendship with Roy slow.

Carly follows Mike to a seedy apartment building. (I thought he was living behind that bar he runs on Port Charles?)

Ned suggest to Alexis that they hire a wedding planner to take care of the details. Alexis agrees. Ned leaves and Sonny talks to Alexis about her panic attacks.

Outside Kelly's, Lucky gives Liz her birthday present early -- a Get Out of Port Charles Free card. He wants to take her to New York City this weekend. She's thrilled.

At Lukes, Nikolas comes in and tells Luke that he and Lucky want nothing to do with his vendetta with Helena.

The Halloween/birthday party breaks up, the Scorpios and Tony leave. Bobbie reassures Roy that he doesn't have anything to prove to Tony. They smooch.

Ned shows up at the hospital to see Alan. He makes smalltalk with Alan & Monica about the decision to hire a wedding planner and to ask Emily to be a bridesmaid. He asks Alan to be his best man.

Alexis talks to Sonny to gather more courage and reassurance about the wedding.

Outside Kelly's, Lucky & Liz are in the middle of a smooch when Nikolas walks up and sees them. Nik tells Lucky that he went to see Luke to tell him he didn't blame him about the kidnapping stunt with Helena. He tells them how much he misses Stefan. Laura comes around the corner as her sons are bonding and smiles.

Alan asks Ned if he'd consider AJ as his best man. No, no, says Ned. He tells Alan that the day with Alexis is too important for him, and Alan is the man he wants standing up next to him.

Back at the penthouse, Carly tells Sonny how much she enjoyed the family evening together. She asks Sonny when he last talked to Mike. He wants to know what her agenda is. He insists he doesn't need his father in his life. Carly suggests he give it another shot with Mike…what if when Michael was grown up, he had a fight with Sonny and turned his back on him, never speaking to him again?

Bobbie talks to Roy about how much she misses BJ.

Ned tells Alexis that Alan suggested AJ as his best man. He says, if AJ is his best man, it's only right that she ask Helena to be her matron of honor. She laughs and starts her hyperventilating shtick.

Lucky tells Laura he's sorry he didn't tell her sooner that Helena was responsible for his kidnapping and brainwashing. Laura tells Lucky & Nik how proud she is of both of them for rising above the Spencer/Cassadine war and how much she loves them.

Mike shows up outside Kelly's and peeks through the window at Tammy.

Sonny tells Carly that if he did to Michael what Mike did to him, he wouldn't deserve another chance. Sonny goes up to bed.
