General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 18-Oct-2000

Michael started pre-school and Sonny is worried about him. So Carly takes him to the park to distract him. They have a good time playing on the swings talking about their past (Sonny was an alter boy…go figure). AJ shows up and asks when Sonny’s trial is. So Carly breaks the news to him that not only have the charges been dropped, but they are happily married. Defeated, AJ leaves. Carly and Sonny go pick up Michael and bring him back to the swings. Touching.

Alexis and Ned are flying back. They discuss the plans for their big wedding. They hope that this will kill the press.

Emily asks Alan and Monica for money. They assume she needs a outfit for some big date with Juan. So when Juan shows up they make a big deal out of it. Later Juan tells him Emily she doesn’t have to go to all that trouble for him. He offers to go to the mall with her, but she brushes him off. She then heads to the boxcar to give Zander the money.

Maxie runs away from home. When Felicia finds out she calls Mac and the police start looking for her. Felicia is flipping out but Mac is there to support her. Maxie goes to the boxcar where she runs into Lucky. They discuss their families and Lucky tells her that running away is really hard and that it doesn’t solve anything. He tells her he wishes he had been there to help his sister. Maxie reconsiders and goes home. Lucky escorts her. Zander shows up at the box car but luckily isn’t spotted by Lucky and Maxie(what kind of name is Maxie anyway, that poor kid) Anyway, When Maxie gets home she has a touching reunion with Felicia and Mac. Very heart warming (they need to get a new actress for that kid. Make her older or something, but this is ridiculous and I’m tired of the looks between Mac and Felicia. Are they going to be together or not…hurry up already)

Emily meets Zander at the box car and gives him the money she collected, but it isn’t enough. He asks her again to go with him but she declines. She asks him to hang around until Friday when she gets her allowance. He agrees to do so.

Monica finds out that she isn’t pregnant and she and Alan decide it is all for the best. Meanwhile while still in the hospital, Gia’s mom finds out that Gia has not attended Columbia as she said she was. She confronts Gia, telling her how disappointed she is. Gia storms out. Taggart is then instructed by the mother to talk to Gia and try to convince her that she should be at Columbia. Taggart latter talks to Hannah about how he can’t try to force Gia to do anything she doesn’t want to. After all that is why he left. They discuss what to do to help.

Gia finds Nicholas in the Park. They discuss what happened with her mother and Nicholas gives her some advice. He tells her to just figure out what she wants and go for it. If she does, her family might come around. She says she wants to do something with music. Big coincidence considering that entire group works for L&B, except Lucky, but give him time.
