Today’s show featured couples, all in different stages of relationships.
Alexis and Ned didn’t tie the knot because of the media’s intrusive presence. Ned seemed quite surprised when Alexis announced that she had worked for a long time to be known as “Alexis Davis” and therefore wouldn’t be changing her name to “Ashton.” They decided to give the media what they want and get married in PC, but they didn’t set a date. They both seemed somewhat nervous about the commitment.
Laura’s crushing disappointment over Luke’s relationship with Felicia was very evident as she demanded service at Luke’s Club and made snide remarks about Flea. She once again drank scotch and this time poured her heart out to Bobbie. She then asked Bobbie if she could “borrow” Roy; Roy obliged by dancing rather seductively with Laura, who made sure Luke saw them. At one point, Roy kindly alerted Laura that Luke could probably tell she was crying. A short time later, Scott arrived, pretending that he was late for his “date” with Laura. It turned out that Roy had called him and asked him to help Laura. Scott and Laura left Luke’s Club and returned to her house, where they drank coffee and talked about what Laura termed the irony that Scott was present at the beginning and end of her life with Luke. He was somewhat skeptical that it was really over, but she insisted it was. She also asked him to finalize her divorce from Luke. He said it was one favor he’d very gladly do for her.
Felicia told Luke she should have come forward sooner with his alibi. She said she was selfish in hiding the truth in order to save her marriage. He replied that it didn’t matter. She didn’t stay long at the Club after Laura left. Luke decided to hide in his office and smoke his cigars. Once left alone, Bobbie and Roy began kissing passionately (although some patrons were still around to witness it).
Emily had quite a busy evening. While Juan was hiding in the closet, she let Zander come in through the window. Not realizing Juan was there, Zander spoke openly of his strong feelings for Emily and claimed he was there to take her back with him. Emily managed to get him to hide in the bathroom while she got rid of Juan, who professed his deep love for her before exiting via the window. Just moments after Juan departed and Emily got Zander out of the bathroom, Edward knocked on the door. So Zander was shoved under the bed. Emily got rid of Edward by pretending she was doing sex ed homework (and was stuck on the letter “O”).
She and Zander had a talk about his constant thoughts of her and his belief that since she never escaped from him when she had the chance, that she must have feelings for him too. She mentioned the Stockholm Syndrome, where captives develop feelings for their captors. He wanted her to assure him that wasn’t the case. Then they were interrupted by Monica, so Zander was once again shoved under Em’s bed. Monica acted pretty cool, commenting before leaving that if Emily didn’t get Juan out from his hiding place under the bed and out the window immediately, then she would allow Edward to cut down the tree outside Emily’s window. Zander came out of hiding after Monica left and asked how many people live in “this mansion.” He said he understood why Emily couldn’t go back on the run with him but insisted on knowing if she had feelings for him. She told him she wanted to help him, and they made arrangements for him to hide in the area overnight so that she has the time to get money for him to make his trip back to Canada easier.
Finally, over at Sonny and Carly’s, Carly tried out her culinary talents to disastrous results. Sonny seemed to find it all amusing, despite being unable to eat anything she had cooked. He also found a huge mess in the kitchen. He seemed flattered by her desire to do something for him. Their evening ended with him feeding her ice cream, which led to serious kissing. They certainly have chemistry.
