General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 11-Oct-2000

Starts off with Emily talking with Ned. She is telling him all about her adventure and he tells her how he held the family together while she was gone. Then he gets up to leave explaining that after Luke’s trial he is taking Alexis away on a vacation so that he can propose to her. As Ned is leaving however, Mac and Taggart show up to ask Emily a few questions. They want to know what she can tell them about what happened to Xander. Emily covers for Xander once again.

Meanwhile Alan, Monica and Edward are at the hospital. AJ is being released and they are trying to convince him to check into Rehab. Even Hannah shows up to drive him there. AJ refuses however and takes off on his own. Defeated, Alan, Monica and Edward return to the house. They tell Emily that she now has a curfew. They want to keep a closer eye on her so that they will be able to help her if any other trouble comes up. AJ shows up and takes his first drink in front of them. They all leave.

Stefan plants a magazine, which contains a picture of Brenda, where Chloe will find it. Chloe is so happy to have contact with the outside world she delves right into the magazines. Upon finding Brenda’s picture she runs out of the room. Later she confides to Stefan how upset she is, because after all she loves Jax too and now she has lost him. Stefan is proud of himself for convincing Chloe Jax will never find her, but keeps it well hidden as he comforts her.

Roy and Bobbie discuss the headline on the newspaper which has pictures of Luke, Laura and Felicia on the cover. Then they head over to the courthouse. Jury still isn’t in. They run into Felicia who is there to hear the verdict. Felicia tells Bobbie that Mac gave her his wedding ring saying he wants her to be with Luke.

Lucky shows up at the courthouse too. He talks to Nicholas about the trial and the impact it is having on him and his mother. Lucky heads off supposedly to take a walk and to call Laura but ends up visiting Luke instead. Luke is happy to see him. Lucky tells him he has been brainwashed and is going to seek help. He also tells him he loves him, even though he hasn’t done a lot of things Lucky is too proud of. He wants Luke to be free.

Scott also visits Luke and tells him he hopes Luke rots in prison for the rest of his life. (In a small cell with a big hungry guy is how he puts it).

Gia is at the hospital visiting her mother and sees the interchange between Hannah and AJ. When Gia later runs into Taggart she starts questioning him about Hannah’s loyalty. But Amy tells them that their mother is back from her test so Taggart leaves to go visit the mother before Gia can tell him anything about what she saw.

The Jury is back and all are gathered at the courtroom. Helena approaches Lucky and Nicholas. Lucky tells Nicholas not to leave him alone with her. Helena tries to get Lucky to walk her into the courtroom, but Nicholas tells her no. Then Alexis comes and rescues them. Telling Helena that she will be on trial next.

Luke is acquitted of the murder. Everyone is relieved, accept for Mac who marches out of the courtroom. Luke thanks Felicia. She says he is welcome and than walks out.

Ned catches up with Alexis outside the courtroom and tells her he is taking her away on a vacation. She is quite pleased.
