All the parties searching for Emily and Zander are closing in, and Felicia made a crucial decision about helping Luke at the expense of her marriage.
Liz and Lucky woke up in the field where they slept. They act quite tender toward each other. As they’re picking berries, Sorel’s two goons find them and hold Liz at gunpoint. Jason shows up almost immediately, aims his gun at the guy holding Liz, and gets Sorel’s men to let her go. He then orders them to return to PC and to tell Sorel to back off. After the two guys leave, Jason angrily says to Lucky, “I thought I told you to go home!” Lucky responds that he isn’t leaving. He and Jason exchange angry words; Jason tells Liz that if she can’t persuade Lucky to leave, then she should go back to PC on her own. After Jason leaves, Liz agrees to stay with Lucky but makes him promise that they’ll call Jason if they see Emily and Zander.
The clunker of a car Em and Zander have been driving breaks down again, but this time it’s dead for real. Zander says they’ll have to walk to the border and claims it should take about a day and a half. Emily slightly loses it and says she just can’t do this anymore; she needs to go home. Zander says he could probably make it to the border without her. She suddenly starts to worry about him and says she can hang in there for another couple of days. Zander promises her he’ll get her back home as soon as he’s safe.
Luke has one visitor after another in jail. First it’s Alexis, who’s there to tell Luke that he’d better come up with an alibi fast or he’s going to spend the rest of his life in prison. She doesn’t mention Felicia, but tells him that if he’s protecting someone, he needs to start thinking about himself. He says that if he testifies he can win the jury over. She tells him it’s a horrible idea. Just then Dara barges in and demands that Alexis leave. She claims that Alexis’s ban on representing Luke includes advising him in jail. Alexis counters that a judge can resolve that issue. Then Roy arrives, fresh from getting a lecture from Mac that he’s under surveillance to make sure he doesn’t break Luke out of jail. Roy tells Luke that Sonny’s made all the arrangements to get him out – but then adds that maybe it would be better if Luke stayed to prove his innocence.
Helena is the next visitor. She tells him she’ll miss him when he’s locked away but won’t visit him in a “vulgar” prison. He accuses her of framing him. She denies it. He says he knows she killed Stefan – if Stefan is dead at all. She taunts him by asking how his children will view him once he’s a convicted murderer. “Lucky’s still bitter toward you,” she reminds him.
In the big development of the day, Felicia tells Bobbie exactly where Luke was the night Stefan disappeared. She confesses everything, giving all the details that led to their making love. Bobbie tells her that if she doesn’t come forward with the truth, Luke will be in prison for life. Felicia expresses her great concern that saving Luke will end her marriage, which is just starting to be put back together. Bobbie suggests that Mac may understand. Felicia finally agrees to testify but says she needs to tell Mac before going to court.
Unfortunately for Flea, when she gets to the police station to talk to Mac, she finds that he’s gone to the Canadian border area because he’s following a lead he just got about Em and Zander’s whereabouts. (Just before getting the phone call about the kids, Mac was under fire from Ned, who accused him of not putting Emily’s safe return as the department’s top priority.) She calls someone who’s with Mac and dramatically states that she must reach her husband.
Bobbie is Luke’s final visitor. As the visit takes place during the last scene of the show, she only has time to tell him that he’s going to be free – Felicia is going to testify.
And for a bit of boredom we had to put up with Stefan and Chloe. Chloe is becoming protective of Stefan, he loves every minute of it, and the bond between them is growing. He told her about his relationship over the years with Helena and says the irony is that he acts more and more like her. He also denied feeling anything for her. Chloe expresses concern that Helena would show up to retaliate against them for their failed escape attempt of the previous night. Stefan responds that if Helena does come there, he and Chloe will be ready for her.
Friday’s show promises to be very interesting.
