General Hospital Update for Monday, 4-Sep-2000

Sonny told Carly on Friday that they were getting married. Today, Carly asked in a soft, hopeful voice, "You still want to marry me?" But Sonny, totally unable or unwilling to see Carly's feelings (I think he'll need to get hit in the head with a 2x4 in order to wake up and smell the coffee) replies with a very matter-of-fact tone, "There's no other way to keep you from testifying!" Carly is hurt but won't let Sonny know that (and vice-versa) so she tells him that she will not marry him and that she will think of something in order to get him aquitted. Then they have the same old argument about how Carly got him into trouble and Carly tells him about her good intentions... yada, yada, yada (When will they just both admit they love each other!)

Liz is fed up with Lucky's back and forth actions so she asks Jason if he will take her for a ride on his bike. They end up at the bridge. Jason tells Liz all about his own personal history and memories that went with the bridge. How that was where he first met Robin, and that is the last place he saw her after she told AJ the truth about Michael's paternity then booked it for Paris. Jason told Liz that he was finally at peace with himself and his life without Robin. Liz asked him how he got past the hurt and how long it took? They had a very serious talk about "significant others" and "letting go" and "healing the hurt" (it was really sweet...) Then, in order to lighten the mood Jason tried to teach Liz the art of "bar fighting" and they sparred and laughed and for a little while anyway, life was good for both of them!

Mac tells Taggert that Interpol had a lead on Luke Spencer but then they lost him. Mac is going to Colorado for a few weeks to be with Felicia and the girls and asks Taggert to please let him know immediately if there are any new developments. Mac also asks Taggert to stay on top of the undercover cop, Ted, who is MIA...

Zander confronts Gia on the docks and wants to know who all she has told about the motel. Gia, (gotta hand it to that girl, she is "faster than a speeding bullet" with her cover stories) makes up a story about her and Nikolas being "secret" lovers and because of all of his money his family doesn't want them together so they have to sneak around. Gia told Zander that she was only there waiting for Nik that night and that he never showed up so she went home. Just then Nikolas walks up to them and immediately follows Gia's lead. So, Gia and Zander make a pact to not tell anyone that either of them were in the parking lot of the motel that night!

Chloe wakes up in a strange room. She leaves the room and goes for a walk to find out where she is and how she got there. And low and behold guess who she finds..... that's right, Stephan Cassadine, alive and well! So, Chloe brings Stephan up to speed on what has been going on with her dreams and premonitions and now Jax is off looking for Brenda so she is alone. Stephan lends a very sympathetic ear and then tells Chloe that this is all Helena's doing. She kidnapped him, too!
