General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 23-Aug-2000

Lucky wakes up next to Liz with a smile. He remembers all that went on the night before and he tells her as she sleeps that she has his heart always. When Liz wakes up however, she doesn’t remember a thing that went on the night before(GRRR!!!). They discuss the events of the previous night. Lucky assures her she wasn’t too ridiculous. He explains how they got back to her place and that Emily showed up at the rave and how Gia saved the day. Liz thanks him for all he has done and explains that she understands now that they are just friends. Lucky apologizes for all of his mixed signals. Nicholas shows up to check up on Liz and a jealous Lucky leaves. Nicholas says he would be lost without her and Liz thanks him for being such a good friend. After he leaves, Liz takes a nap and lucky looks in at her and remembers more of the previous night.

Stefan and Helena are both up to their old tricks. Upon hearing that Helena has left Port Charles, Stefan is pleased, however he is not pleased to hear that Chloe will soon be receiving her radiation treatment. He hopes that this will put a stop to Chloe’s treatment. He sets the trap for Jax to be lured away in search of “Brenda” He plants his first clue. Helena meanwhile says she needs to get away from Jax and Chloe awhile so that they get comfortable so she can strike again. She receives word that the man she sent after Stefan was found dead. She momentarily wonders if he was killed but dismisses it.

Sonny is out on Bail and as he and Alexis leave the courtroom expecting a lot of questions about the case, a shocked Alexis finds out they are more interested in hearing more about “Eddie’s Angel” Alexis is mortified. She sends Sonny out on his own and she calls Chloe and asks her to bring a disguise. Ned shows up to apologize but Alexis is still mortified. She wants it all cleared up, but it can’t happen. Everyone knows. Chloe and Jax come from the hospital where they just heard from Tony that she can have her first radiation treatment on Monday( They think this will get Helena off their backs and are happy about this). They bring Alexis a disguise. While she is changing, Ned and Jax discuss Helena and how Jax has been seeing images of Brenda. Ned warns him that too much looking back may cost him Chloe. Jax knows but can’t help wondering if Brenda is out there somewhere waiting for him to rescue her. Then they sneak Alexis out the side door, sending Ned to deal with the Press.

AJ shows up at Carly’s door to taunt her about Sonny’s arrest saying he will get his son back. Carly’s tells him no way. Sonny shows up and chases AJ out threatening to send him to jail for arson. Sonny doesn’t want to hear explanations from Carly, he just wants her to pack up her stuff and move in with him where he can keep an eye on her. Later she gets her chance to tell the story and Sonny is pissed. He tells her from now on she will do what he says and keep her mouth shut. “Why should I” she asks….he says because he is the only thing between AJ and Michael. Carly goes upstairs quite upset.

Edward has Monica and Alan paged and tells them now is their chance to get custody of Michael. They say no way and then Lila shows up and tells Edward not to do this. So Edward backs off, but he is angry.
