General Hospital Update for Thursday, 17-Aug-2000

Today’s episode set up the possibility for a very interesting Friday episode. AJ was up to no good once again. He offers Bobbie a million dollars for the brownstone. She turns him down. He asks to rent an apartment and she says no. He says his rights have been violated and he will sue her. But in the process of all of this he drags Hannah and Taggert into it. They assure Bobbie that AJ doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

Carly gives Mike the money, and demands he tell her where he is meeting Sorel so that she can make sure he isn’t just leaving town with it. Mike tells her and then goes off to meet with Sonny who had left a message with Tammy asking Mike to meet him. Sonny tells Mike he knows and that their relationship is over. Now Sonny has to give into whatever Sorel wants so that Mike’s death isn’t on Sonny’s hands. Sonny is mad. Carly, not realizing that Sonny knows and is meeting with Sorel at the hotel, not Mike, calls the police and gives an anonymous tip that Sorel is going to be engaging in criminal activity and gives them the address and the time of the meeting. Then she dresses up in a disguise with the idea of catching it all on tape if the police don’t decide to show up. Big trouble brewing there!!!

Lucky and Emily discuss Lucky’s memory loss and how important it is to Lucky that they tell no one. Juan sees them hugging and goes running to Liz to ask her if there is something between Emily and Lucky. Liz assures him there isn’t, but Juan isn’t so sure. He vows to win Emily back. When Emily shows up at Kelly’s Liz tells Emily what Juan saw and Emily assures Liz there is nothing going on, she just depends on Lucky ever since he found her with Ted. Liz and Emily discuss how different Lucky is now. When lucky shows up Emily tells Lucky that Liz was commenting on how different he is, can Lucky explain this? Both Lucky and Liz look very uncomfortable…that should be an interesting conversation tomorrow…

Alan works out and gets overheated and tired and Edward tells him it is a sign they shouldn’t be having anymore children. Then Monica comes in and tells Alan it is time to perform(Yuck! What a terrible story line!) but she is only kidding. She calls it a drill to see how quickly Alan can spring into action. She is paying him back for broadcasting all of her medical information to anyone who would listen. They make up and Alan is relieved he doesn’t have to do it, he is tired…Yuck yuck yuck!!!!

Sorel tells Sonny to meet him at the hotel and Hannah and Taggart are called to respond to the tip. Meanwhile, Chloe and Jax make plans to go sailing, and while Jax is off renting a boat, the bellman comes to deliver a message for him. He gives it to Chloe saying the beautiful brunet has been spotted again. Chloe begins to remember the conversation she had a long time ago with Jax about Brenda. When Jax comes back she confronts him about the message asking if it is Brenda he saw.
