General Hospital Update for Monday, 14-Aug-2000

At the rave, Gia sees Elizabeth talking with Xander. She told Nikolas that he is the one who arrived at the hotel shortly after Ted and Emily arrived and entered their hotel room. Lucky approaches Liz and Xander pretending to be Liz's jealous boyfriend. Free from Xander, the group decide to leave the rave. Gia, however, gets stopped by Xander before she can get out and he wants to know what her friends are up to. Pretending to be stoned and about to puke on his shoes, Gia is able to leave the rave safely. At Kelly's, Emily is filled in on the details. Gia appears, demanding answers and Lucky thinks they should be given, especially since Xander recognized Gia and she could be in danger.

Chloe is ga-ga over the island paradise Jax has brought her to. While standing on the terrace, Jax sees a woman in the garden who bears a striking resemblance (from the back) to Brenda. He makes an excuse to Chloe and goes to the garden to investigate, only to be told by the manager that no one fitting Brenda's description is registered there. Helena is seen by the manager and asks about available rooms of which there are none.

Stefan was attacked by Helena's henchman, but managed to ward him off and kill him in the process. Stefan was certain he was sent by Helena. He ordered that the grounds be searched and the body disposed of in such a manner as to make his death appear an accident.

Carly managed to convince Sonny she needed money in her bank account so she wouldn't appear to be a credit risk to potential lending institutions. Of course, a respectable amount would be $40,000.00. Sonny agreed to transfer the money to Carly's account first thing, then called Benny to thwart Carly's "house hunting" attempts so she will be forced to move in with him. Later, at the Brownstone, Bobbie gave Carly an ultimatum -- move out in 2 weeks or Bobbie will go to Sonny and tell him Carly has been manipulating him.
