General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 9-Aug-2000

Jax talks to Alexis about Helena and how he and Chloe are going to leave town for a while. Alexis tells him to be very careful, Helena is deadly. Jax tells Alexis to watch her back as well. Later Jax sneaks into Helena’s yacht. She catches him there, he tells her that if she comes near Chloe he will kill her. Alexis gets a visit from Chloe and she tells Chloe to be careful and to go as far away as possible and stay gone for a while. Helena won’t let this blow over easily. Chloe is worried how far Jax will go to protect her.

AJ is picked up for insighting a riot by standing on the corner handing out $100 bills. He haggles with Taggert over Hannah, telling Taggert to beware of Hannah’s charitable side, it just might send her into his arms in the end. Taggart is shaken when Hannah brings AJ a sandwich. But after AJ is released, Hannah assures Taggart she isn’t interested in dating AJ.

Helena calls for Lucky. When he arrives she questions him about the computer and the burnable cd drive. Lucky is belligerent and won’t answer, but as he turns to leave Helena says the magic words “Protect your Queen” and Lucky is quickly under her spell again. He tells her he has nothing to do with spying on her and she tells him to make sure Elizabeth ends up with Nicholas. After Lucky leaves, Helena tells Andreas she suspects Jax or Luke are responsible for the cd burner and they must be taken care of…I guess we know how Jax is going to leave the show…

Liz and Nicholas discuss how Lucky’s behavior is strange and erratic. One minute he seems to like Liz, the next he is pushing for her to be with Nick…They decide to kiss in front of Lucky to make him jealous. But when Lucky shows up and they kiss, lucky is nothing but happy for them. He even goes off smiling. Liz is devastated.

Mike asks Carly to get the 40 grand from Sonny for him. Carly isn’t sure. She doesn’t want to lie to Sonny. Mike says if he dies than Sonny will go to war with Sorel. But he can’t ask Sonny for the money because Sonny will cast him out of his life for good and that will only leave Sonny even more alone. Sonny shows up at the park and talks to Carly for a while about Mike and their past. Sonny says how happy he is that Mike has changed. The man he used to hate is gone. Carly decids to help Mike. But she is doing it for Sonny, not Mike. Mike is worried it won’t work.

Earlier Bobby had met with Sonny to ask him if Roy is working for him. Sonny says he isn’t but that Bobby should stay out of it. Roy wouldn’t like her interfering. Bobby is upset.
