Well, this is the last review I'm gonna write based on a Global TV telecast; by the 21st, I'll be watching GH on a whole 'nother channel! Oh, the excitement...

Brief note: I didn't catch the first two scenes from today, but I do know who was in them; first couple might be sketchy, but the rest will be fleshed out in full, glorious detail.

1) Lucky and Gia, still slumming it in the alley, bicker s'more about who she is.

2) Hannah tells AJ to get lost (well, that was the basic gist), but he keeps pestering--until Taggert arrives and looks all mean at him.

3) Stefan is meeting with the doc who was appointed to create the placebo for Chloe's drugs. Two identical pill bottles are on the table, and Steffi questions Doc closely to make sure that "the patient" will *not* realize the drugs she's taking aren't doing any good--or any*thing*, really--to which Doc says, Nope. All that's needed now is the switcheroo...

4) Helena has other ideas about Chloe's health; mainly, that it should cease and desist as soon as possible. She ponders how best to dispose of Miss Morgan, considering and rejecting posion and a hit and run before realizing that a nice, simple slit of the throat would do nicely; not only would Chloe die, but since that's the exact method used to get rid of Alexis' mother, with any luck the repeat performance would cause Ms Davis to have a nervous breakdown, thereby taking her out of Helena's way as well. In the background, Andreas nods, smiles...and records his Madam's musings to send to Stefan.

5) Speaking of the amazing Alexis, she's currently on the receiving end of Carly's wrath; she tries to explain that she, Alexis, is living in the coveted penthouse, but Carly won't have that. She begins explaining that *she* is moving in and *Alexis* has to get out--at which point who should make his entrance but the landlord himself, who wants to know just what Carly thinks she's doing. He tells her that yes, Alexis *is* the tenant now, at which point Carly throws down and they settle in for a good fight--which Ned and Alexis (and Leticia and Michael) settle in to watch, with popcorn. ("Better than a bad B-movie.") Carly, however, is actually quite astute, and tells him that she's on to his plan to get her to move back in with him...

6) Mike arrives at Luke's, very distraught, and proceeds to pester Roy for a loan so he can win some cash to pay back Sorel at this week's backroom poker game. Roy turns him down flat on the loan idea--but offers to gamble *for* Mike in order to win a down-payment. Mike insists that he could play himself--but Roy is adamant that he handle the cash, and Mike doesn't come near the club while the game's on. It's the only option he gives, and since Mike's so desperate, he takes it.

7) AJ, still buzzing around Hannah like a mosquito that just won't die, lets drop to Taggert about the spat between Hannah and Dara; before Taggs can pound buddy-boy into the linoleum, however, Hannah intercedes, playing down the incident and heading for the exit with Taggert. They're almost out the door--but the Lieutenant's beeper goes, and he dashes off to investigate a "disturbance". Meanwhile, Tammy plays resident b*tch to AJ, who orders pancakes to get her away from him.

8) Oh look, it's Brainscan and Mr "Look What I've Flown In for You *This* Week", out for a romantic picnic in the park. Of course, there's a table and chairs--and candles and silverware and other non-picnicky amenities--but it's the romance that counts, and Chloe's delighted. Jax prepared it all to celebrate her improved health, and there's many smiles to go around as he unveils the main course: New York hotdogs. As saxophone music swells in the background, the happy couple reminisce about their feelings of a year ago and how they didn't tell each other that they loved each other, even though they really did (y'know, 'cause of the whole married-to-fool-Gertrude thingie)...it's very aww-inspiring. (Gag me. ;)

9) ...Which Sonny of course denies, because he would *never* try to manoeuver her into something she didn't want. (Ed: *pshaw!*) Despite his vehemence, Carly says one more time that she'll *never* move back in with him, then storms out, taking Leticia, Michael, and their bags with her. Sonny turns to Alexis and Ned to get sympathy for what he has to put up with, but all they can offer are ratings of the argument for entertainment value; Ned offered a "high score", but Alexis gave specifics--9.7--as well as a bit of sympathy. Sonny took the ribbing gracefully, then left the two lovebirds alone to smooch away happily.

10) Emily sits nervously outside Kelly's--and when Elizabeth shows up, she begs for details of the Census scam. Liz recaps for the folks who missed yesterday (the first such recap of two to appear today), and the girls glumly ponder who the blackmailer could be, if not Gia.

11) Lucky's not so easily convinced that she's innocent, and wants an explanation for her cushy lifestyle--y'know, given that she told him she was homeless last time they spoke. Well, Miss Campbell is nothing if not resourceful, and she provides the second recap of the day: she's working for the family in the mansion over the summer, she's really from Brooklyn. She goes on to explain that she had the night off the other day, and went to the movies. On her way home, she was poking around in the alley because supposedly people drop perfectly good stuff into the trash in that alley, and she likes to riffle through for what she can find. (Ed: *snerk!*) Wierdly enough, her story seems to be swaying young Master Spencer--but when he notices Taggert poking around at the other end of the alley, Gia freaks. Curious, Lucky tells her to stay put--then heads out to divert the Lieutenant and make him go away. He's doing well, too--but then Gia knocks over a trash can, alerting Taggert that someone's back there...

12) Emily and Liz talk about telling Juan what's going on; Em wants to trust him, but Liz is against his finding out *anything* to do with the rave or the blackmailing. The conversation inevitably gets to Liz and Lucky's relationship issues, and both girls wax poetical about getting on with their lives...until Juan shows up, creating a whole new level of tension.

13) Chloe and Jax stargaze, and when the first ball of gas becomes apparent (I meant the stars, you gutterbrains), Chloe makes a wish--she wishes they were dancing. And they do, with much lovey deep-eyed gazes.

14) Mike haunts the bar like the memory of cheesefries after a peptic eruption, making Roy so nervous he pours the man a free drink. They discuss his situation, and Mike flogs himself for taking money from Sorel, of all people. Roy still thinks he should go to Sonny, but Mike negates that idea right fast. He thanks Roy for helping him out, but Roy says that he's doing it because Mike's son helped *him* out. At that moment the man himself enters, and Mike makes himself scarce; Sonny thinks it's odd, as Mike's usually somewhat more delighted to see him--but he came to ask Roy about the conversation he saw between the ex-con and--yup--Sorel. Roy assures the mobster that he can handle Sorel...then nods a little at Mike, who Sonny turns a speculative gaze on...

15) Undeterred by Lucky's insistence that no one is in the alley, Taggert goes back to investigate--but Gia has hidden behind some boxes, where Lucky sees her and covers. He distracts Taggs with talk of the Stefan Cassadine murder case--and shocks all and sundry when he says that maybe Helena should be suspect number one. (Evidently the brainwashing's wearing thin...) Taggert's surprised--last time her name came up, Lucky insisted that they were friends--but Lucky keeps saying that Luke didn't do it. He suggests that his dad's being set up, possibly by Mac, but Taggert is unwilling to admit his own thoughts on the matter, and clears out. Once he's gone, Gia comes out and tries to leave--but Lucky stops her, now very curious as to why she hid from the good police officer?

16) Elizabeth tactfully leaves Juan and Em to talk, and Mr Santiago is all sweet talk and hopeful smiles. Emily, though conflicted, turns down his offer of reestablishing some kind of relationship, and Juan shuffles off, dejected. Liz hurries back for a snippet of girl talk--Em *wants* to be with Juan, she does--but they're interrupted by Tammy, who has a phonecall for Emily. Young Miss Quartermaine freaks, and goes to take the call...while Juan watches, puzzled by her reaction.

17) Sonny tells Roy that if he gets into more than he can handle with Sorel, he should call for help; Roy appreciates the offer. Sonny then asks what's up with Mike, but Roy's less talkative in that area, instead telling Sonny to ask his dad personally about that one. His curiosity peaked, Sonny goes to sit with Mike, who puts on the false bravado and tries to deflect Sonny's inquiries as to what's wrong. Mike points out that Sonny has other things to worry about--like Carly, who just entered dressed to incite jealousy. Sonny notices her entrance, and sees her stride purposefully over to Roy at the bar--but is entirely unconcerned...despite the fact that she's now being seductive at her mother's boyfriend.

18) Emily's phonecall...is Reginald, reminding her about a dinner date with her grandfather. Relieved, Em assures him she'll make it, then hangs up and tells Liz the good news--but Juan overhears enough to make him concerned, and he asks what's wrong. She tries to cover, but he has none of it, and tells her that he wants to help if she's in trouble--trust me, he tells her. Deciding to go with her emotions, Emily leads him outside...and tells him about Ted.

19) Gia again tries to dodge Lucky's questions, but he's not put off. If she doesn't level with him, he says, he'll tell Taggert all about her--an idea which really doesn't appeal to Miss Campbell.

20) Sonny's totally blissful dismissal of Carly's obvious come on to Roy has Mike flabbergasted; he again tries to get Sonny to pay attention to the show, but Sonny simply shrugs her behaviour off: "She gets like that." Meanwhile, Carly lays it on thick, going for realism in her performance for Sonny. What she doesn't realize is that Roy has caught on to what she's doing, and decides to play along; completely deadpan, he comes on to *her*, telling her that he was first attracted to her eyes, and "wants to get to know" her the way she "wants to get to know" him. His performance is better than hers, and Carly is *completely* thrown...

21) Helena is happily looking at her dagger-shaped letter opener, plotting away the demise of Chloe Morgan; however, her train of thought is utterly derailed when, as she goes to put the letter-opener away, she finds--Andreas' CD recording setup. Madam is not happy...

22) Again sans shirt, Stefan accepts a courier from Andreas--another CD. He pops it in the player and listens to his mother spout off about needing to kill Chloe; alarmed, Steffi pours himself a drink and vows that the young lady will *not* die, thankyouverymuch!

23) Speak of the devil; Chloe stares off into the nighttime sky, communing with the stars while snuggling with Jax. (Ed: Bleh.) Suddenly, however, the peaceful moment is broken as she has a psychic flash of watching herself sleep...going to the side of the bed...holding a knife to her throat. Jolting out of it, she tells Jax that she's seen her own murder...at the hand of Helena.

Next Time: Flashback's a b*tch for Bobbie as she walks in on Roy and Carly's heavy petting.
