General Hospital Update for Friday, 28-Jul-2000

1) Jax and Chloe at the grill discussing how they are going to enlist Mac’s help in their plot to bring down Helena.

2) Stefan, on the phone, asks for details about Chloe’s treatment. He wants a detailed timetable of Chloe’s radiation procedure: “Time is of the essence!” Stefan learns that Chloe’s radiation won’t begin until September. He gives instructions to have Chloe followed at all times.

3) Alexis tells Roy that if he is in touch with Luke that he should tell him that Alexis knows he didn’t kill Stefan but that it’s going to be hard to clear his name if he doesn’t return to PC.

4) Over to Taggart and Hannah where FBI-girl yells “FBI, DROP IT!” and then proceeds to read Taggart and Mike’s attackers their rights. Taggart calls for back up and we see that he’s been wounded. The police arrive in the alley and take the thugs away. Taggart confronts Mike about his attackers and Mike denies knowing them. He refuses to press charges and leaves. Hannah and Taggart decide to go back to his place for some “first aid” (barf).

5) At Kelly’s, Bobbie and Carly are having the same old discussion; Bobbie: You should be more responsible, get your life together, leave Elizabeth alone. Carly: You like everyone better than you like me. Yadda yadda yadda. Carly and Boobie..uh I mean Bobbie continue their argument. Nothing’s resolved and, thankfully, Bobbie leaves. Tammy asks Carly to leave and after they exchange a few barbs, Carly leaves in a huff. Mike enters and tells Tammy that he’s dug himself a deep hole this time Mike tells Tammy that his life is out of control and it seems almost as if he were set up. Tammy tells him to go to Sonny but Mike refuses. Mike thinks he should disappear for a while. He goes out the back door.

6) On the docks Lucky confronts Sonny and ‘Liz about their “friendship” and asks if what Carly is saying is true. Liz tells Lucky that they’re just friends and Lucky asks Sonny if he’s told ‘Liz about his track record with his “friends” including Lily and Brenda. Sonny tells Lucky that he’s just looking for a fight and tells Lucky it’s not smart to start one with him. Sonny wonders why, if Lucky is through with ‘Liz, he cares about who she sees, then leaves. Liz, looking a little angry, asks Lucky to tell her why it matters to him who she sees. Liz tells Lucky that she’s confused by his behavior. Lucky gets angry and leaves.

7) Sonny sees Carly outside of Kelly’s. He is very angry and tells her that everything that comes out of her mouth is poison and that she only uses people to get what she wants including Michael and their baby. Sonny thanks her for reminding him of who she really is because he had forgotten over the past few weeks and stalks off, leaving Carly crying.

8) Alexis runs into Helena on the docks, they exchange a few, well selected words. Helena threatens, Alexis deflects. Helena leaves. (Ed: How many times have I seen this scene before?)

9) Nik and Lucky meet up in the alley. Lucky tells Nik about Sonny and Liz and Nik confirms to Lucky that they are only friends. Lucky asks Nik if he isn’t bothered by this and Nik says no. He tells Lucky that he knows that Liz isn’t in love with Sonny because he’s seen Liz in love. He tells Lucky that Liz was involved with Jason when she thought Lucky was dead. Nik tells Lucky that Jason stayed in Liz’ studio with her and that they were a couple. Lucky gets upset. Just then someone approaches their bag o’ cash. Nik and Lucky run out and grab the hooded figure, which turns out to be a young girl.

10) Taggart and Hannah are back at his place…she cleans his wound and there is some sweet talk. Hannah tells him she “sure would miss him if he were dead.” (Ed: Wow! Who writes this stuff…it’s practically Shakespeare!) Eventually, they head to the bedroom.

11) Emily and Liz meet up on the docks. Liz tells Emily what happened with Carly, Sonny and Lucky. Emily tells her that it’s obvious that Lucky still loves her.

12) Carly, still outside Kelly’s is miserable and Roy tries to console her. Carly thinks that Sonny hates her. Roy comforts her and Sonny sees them embracing.

13) Back at the Grille, Mac has arrived and so has Helena. She nabs a table behind them and eavesdrops on their conversation. Chloe gives it away that she has been seeing through Helena’s eyes in her dreams.

Next time: Mac tells Jax and Chloe that Helena knows that Chloe thinks she can see through her eyes. The girl denies knowing anyone named Emily, Carly asks Sonny if he wants to tell her she’s a “disgusting tramp” again. Mike’s life is in danger.
