Well, well, well. Paranoia and violence...and this is supposed to be *glamorous*???

1) Our show begins with the ironically nicknamed Mental Health Gal--Carly--entering the PC Grille with shopping bags dangling from her arms. Our intrepid heroine spots her main mobster sitting at the bar, being intense into the phone, and wanders over to stand behind him--close enough to eavesdrop, but far enough away to be able to deny that fact at a moment's notice. Anyway, Sonny's phonecall ends, and he turns to find her standing there, a big ol' smile pasted on her face. Carly tells him about how she's enrolled Michael in preschool and needs another "responsible adult" to sign the school's forms, in addition to her own signature (Ed. *snerk!*). She has decided that Sonny is just the "responsible adult" to sign (Ed. "guffaw!*).

2) Speaking of needing to be responsible, Elizabeth is working at Kelly's, and just happens to be serving the goons who were after Mike yesterday. Surprise surprise, they're after him again today, but are content to sit and sip coffe until he arrives. Elsewhere in the room, Hannah and Taggert discuss the date they have on for that evening; there's much pointed talk about 'dessert' and 'cooking', but then Hannah has to run--she's off to see her daddy. Taggert seats himself at the bar. On her way out, Hannah passes Lucky, who's on his way in; he seems hesitant around Liz, and they both reiterate how they want to be "friends"--but even though she's smiling, we can see the words "Bite me!" lurking in Liz's eyes.

3) Speaking of biting big-time, Nikolas and Juan are at L&B. Nik wants Juan to take the offer from the other music company that Ned spoke of the other day, but Juan's having none of it. He gloats that Emily wanted him to stay, which Nik doesn't take kindly to; *he* insists that Juan should take the deal and get the hell out of Em's life--as the gal herself walks in.

4) Aww. Roy fell asleep on his couch while doing paperwork; Bobbie is not immune to the cuteness as she slips in the door and goes to sit beside him. Deciding to wake her lover, she leans over him, touching his face--and is pushed back as Roy wakes up yelling, raising his fist and glaring murder at whoever disturbed his nap. Once he's fully awake, however, he realizes who he almost belted, and is completely appalled at himself; he explains that while he was undercover he trained himself to wake up fighting, as his life sometimes depended on instinctual battle-readiness. He'd thought, however, that he had that particular violent instinct under control; he's thoroughly shaken at the thought that he could've done Bobbie harm. Bobbie is unfazed, however; she reminds him that she knows what abusive relationships are like (Brock), and she knows the difference between habitual violence and accidents.

5) Liz and Lucky are still being "friends"; she goes off to get him a drink, and Taggert takes the opportunity to talk to Young Spencer about his and Nik's Junior Detectoring. Lucky brushes off the detective's concern...then slyly brings up Ted, wondering if Taggert had any leads on the missing cop or not. Not being half as thick as Lucky's convinced he is, Taggert immediately wonders *why* Lucky would care about a missing undercover cop. As they discuss, Mike enters, highly agitated. He asks Liz if she's seen Tammy; Liz says she hasn't, and Mike says that it's important that he talk to her.

6) Emily replies that no, she doesn't want Juan completely out of her life, but she also defends Nikolas' interference in the matter. Put back in his place, Juan slinks off, paving the way for Em and Nik to briefly argue about Ted and whether or not she should forgive Juan enough to let him in on the secret. Nik is adamant--Juan can't be forgiven.

7) Over at the Grille, our two "responsible adults" (Ed. *chortle!*) are discussing whether or not Michael is old enough to be put in preschool; that small argument is quickly dropped, however, in favour of the bigger one about the other night. Liz is mentioned, but Sonny refuses to be dragged into it; instead, he oh-so-casually brings up the fact that she had mentioned wanting to move in again, or something...? Slightly peeved by their previous conversation, Carly shoots him down, saying that it wouldn't be good for Michael to move him *again*. They disagree a little more, neither of them even listening to half of what the other says--but their hot air is interrupted by the arrival of Alexis, who's there to meet with Sonny. Carly tries to brush her off, but Sonny turns around and brushes *her* off; on her way out, Carly hands him the form he has to sign for Michael's admittance to the school, and gives one last insult before stalking off. Bemused, Alexis asks what that was about, and Sonny explains--the lovely lawyer's response is, "You're not *serious*?!" She wonders why Sonny is still involved with Carly and Michael, and he explains that he's obligated to take care of them. Alexis points out that he isn't, not legally, but if he starts to sign documents about Michael, Carly could start to take advantage of him financially--to which Sonny replies, basically, that she already is, with his blessing. Thrown, Alexis listens to him spout reasons for why Carly can't take care of herself financially; then, completely perplexed, she wonders if he actually has feelings for Carly.

8) Bobbie must have left; Roy's alone, and is starting to be annoyed by his paramour's taste in home decorating. He's particularly bothered by one painting, which he takes off the wall and glares at. Hannah takes that opportunity to show up, and when she sees what Bobbie did with the place, she can't say enough about it--she loves it. Roy snaps at her enthusiasm, however, then explains about what happened earlier.

9) Nik and Emily rehash the rave and her and Juan's respective wrongness; she's still torn about telling Juan what really happened, but he still firmly believes that Juan can't be trusted. Emily agrees not to let Juan in on the secret, and Nik leaves to get money for the blackmailer, satisfied.

10) Liz and Mike discuss Tammy for another moment, then he hurries out; the goons, who had been watching him raptly, follow. Taggert notices the odd synchonicity, but Lucky's spouting nonchalant excuses for mentioning Ted, which distracts him a little. Lucky has done an about-face with his official story, and is saying that maybe Nikolas saw the cop at the rave...but Taggert brushes him off, and hurries out after Mike and the goons. Liz joins Lucky at the table, and they puzzle over what Mike and Taggert's exits meant...but their brainstorm is interrupted by the arrival of Carly. Our favourite Responsible Adult (Ed. *snigger*) makes a beeline for the pair, greets Lucky warmly, then brings out the claws to Liz, mentioning the various "indiscretions" that perhaps Lucky would be interested in knowing. Liz starts to get offended, and Lucky tries to step in--but Liz says she can take care of herself. Carly responds that she can certainly take care of throwing herself at Sonny--and Lucky takes a moment to look utterly bemused. A right old catfight soon gets going, with both Liz and Carly hissing away with their best insults--Liz's best shot is "Sonny lost a baby--you lost your mealticket", after which she storms out, leaving Carly to "commiserate" with Lucky over the lying tramp that is his girlfriend. Lucky, still bemused, can only blink.

11) Sonny, the bone of contention himself (ha-ha!), is trying to bluff about his emotions to Alexis, and not succeeding. Of course he has feelings for Carly, he says--to which Alexis clarifies, *romantic* feelings? His response is a firm, yet completely unbelievable no. They move on, and Alexis tells him that the paperwork for the deal Sonny made with the FBI has come through--he's officially committed no crimes before June first. This announcement sends Don Corinthos over the moon, prompting the words "Hot diggety dog!" to actually cross his lips. Alexis, however, warns him not to be too cocky; his luck can't hold out forever. Too ecstatic, Sonny brushes off her warning and heads out, a skip in his step, leaving Alexis to sigh and finish off his scotch.

12) Over at L&B, Emily and Juan discuss their mutual wrongdoings. Em apologizes, and says that she's not as blameless as she's been pretending to be--but she still can't forgive him. She wants him to let go of her--but Juan refuses, and she leaves.

13) Hannah reassures her father that the violent habits will fade away; he's a good man, couldn't hurt people he cares about, etc. Roy, however, has none of it, and won't forgive himself for almost decking Bobbie. Hannah eventually manages to get through to him with the "great dad" line, after which they hug, and she goes to leave. She notices the picture he took off the wall, and hands it back to him, telling him, "Hang this up...you're not in Pentonville anymore." Roy smiles, takes the picture, waits until she leaves...then sighs, and answers forlornly, "So they tell me."

14) Carly and Lucky discuss Liz; he criticizes his cousin for spreading lies, but she defends her paranoia. Bobbie comes in on the tail end of their disagreement, and Lucky tells her that Liz ran off in the middle of her shift; he's going to go find her. Before he leaves, however, he sends a pointed warning to Carly not to go near Elizabeth again. Once he's gone, Bobbie looks disapprovingly at her daughter, and Carly stares back, unphased.

15) Liz is on the docks, going down the steps in a pair of highly impractical shoes--which prove their unsuitedness to being walked on by making her trip over the last step and fall. Liz limps painfully over to a bench and sits down, taking off the offending shoe and inspecting her injured ankle--only to have Sonny show up and inspect it himself. Apparently he's a sports injury expert, having played a lot of basketball in his youth; they both chuckle over that fact, then get a little more serious as they thank each other for the help they've offered--Liz to Sonny at the hospital, Sonny to Liz at the fire that "killed" Lucky.

16) Alexis shows up at Roy's place, where she delivers the paperwork for his part of the FBI deal. She also warns him to steer clear of Sonny and Luke, as another criminal charge could create big problems, despite the deal. Roy looks annoyed.

17) Mike strides nervously through an alley--and is waylaid by the goons, who demand Sorel's payment. Mike swears that it's on its way, he just needs more time--but they're there to collect, no ifs ands or buts. They gang up on poor Mike, and get a couple solid blows in before Taggert steps up, and foolishly tries to defuse the situation without pulling his gun first. The goons aren't at all intimidated, and one of them goes after the intrepid cop with a switchblade. A bit of hand-to-hand ensues, during which Taggert gets his guy under control, but Mike gets a bottle in the head for trying to fight his goon. Fortunately, the scuffle is brought to a halt by the appearance of FBI-Action Hannah, her gun drawn, her voice loud. Shocked at the actual authority in her tone, everyone freezes.

18) Alexis says that doing things like, oh, impersonating a police officer to break a guy out of jail, y'know, stuff like that, isn't exactly smart stuff for a guy with Roy's record to be doing. She repeats that Luke and Sonny are risky people for him to be associating with; Roy doesn't care. He spent twenty years living for other people, and now that he's free he's going to do exactly what he feels like doing, thankyouverymuch!

19) Bobbie and Carly have a spat about Elizabeth, which quickly segues into a spat about Sonny, which quickly segues into a spat about why Bobbie can never take Carly's side against anyone. Nothing new there...

20) Sonny asks Liz why she was in the bad mood that led to her fall; she tells him about Carly's attack, including the comeback about the baby--which she immediately regrets when she sees Sonny's face shut down. She apologizes, but Sonny brushes it off, telling her that he'll take care of Carly so that she doesn't pick fights with her anymore. He then changes the conversation back to Liz's ankle; he tells her to wear flat shoes for a few days until it gets better, but she objects--she's too short to wear flat shoes! This prompts a chuckle, and the two of them start to kid around a bit, and are in the midst of some nice flirty laughing when Lucky happens upon them, deep in his Incredible Skulk act. He gets that switched-off look, and stares impassively at the two on the bench as he wonders if maybe Carly had a point to what she said...

On the Next GH: Sonny, Lucky looks way too p*ssed for you to be bringing up your past experience with seducing young girls. Wait 'til he's gone, *then* get Elizabeth into bed. :)
