General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 4-Jul-2000

Today's episode had few fireworks -- sorry to be corny.

Emily woke up in bed next to a very dead Ted. She was naked and had a syringe in her hand. She freaked out, but Lucky came to her rescue. In a mature move, he advised her not to take a shower because she could potentially remove evidence in case she had been raped. Emily told Lucky she couldn't remember anything. He figured out she had been drugged. He called a worried Nikolas and Liz to ask them to meet him in the hotel room. Emily didn't want Juan knowing the details of her night, so she insisted that he not come. After being told that he couldn't tag along with Nik and Liz, Juan began to sulk. (IMO, he's getting very annoying!)

Laura bonded with Bobbie at the annual Port Charles 4th of July picnic. They discussed Bobbie's love for Roy. Later, when Roy and Laura were alone, he tried to convince her that Luke still loves her.

The Q's were their usual feisty selves at their picnic. Edward complained about Emily's absence, Reginald threw things around because of Leticia's absence, and AJ showed up just long enough to insult everyone.

Hannah set up her picnic area and waited for Taggert to join her. AJ had to intrude, of course, while Hannah was still alone. He tried to feed her a strawberry and then began begging for food. It was rather pathetic. He also begged her for a date the following day.

While Chloe went out to run an errand, Jax asked Tony to come over. He gave Tony the pills he got from Helena and asked him to have then analyzed to make sure they're the authentic medication. Chloe returned while Tony was there and was very surprised to see the pills. Jax lied about how he obtained them.

Tony later took Lucas to the picnic, where they ran into Bobbie and Roy. Lucas wanted to have a "family" picnic, so the two men warily sat down, neither one overjoyed about the other's presence.

Finally, Nikolas and Liz arrived at the hotel and did their best to comfort Emily and assure her that what happened was not her fault. Liz spoke privately with Emily about the possibility of rape and told her they'd go to the Women's Health Center to have Em checked out. Nikolas and Lucky cleaned up the drug evidence and made plans to remove Ted's body. Just as they were getting ready to move the body, someone banged on the door and demanded to be let in.
