General Hospital Update for Friday, 30-Jun-2000

*Chloe is once again obsessing over Jax's safety with Alexis. She tries to convince Alexis to stop Jax from making a deal with Helena. Jax walks in on them and says that he's already proven that he is more than a match for Helena(ie the Sahara and Greece) and that they have nothing to worry about. Later he asks Chloe to let him help her instead of sitting idly by while she loses her sight. Later he meets with Helena and she offers him the drug if he will spend one night with her.(Yuk, but it's nice to see a guy in this situation for a change.) Chloe then has a pleasant dream about Jax which I doubt is a good thing.

*Meanwhile Stefan is still cavorting in his French or maybe Swiss chalet(?) with his Mommy/Laura look-a-like and is pleased that Mommy seems obsessed with Jax for the moment, it means she's not looking for him.

*Sonny and Carly's fabulous time in their private paradise is cut short by a series of frantic calls from Benny. Carly says time on the island has made her realize all that she could have lost by shooting AJ and thanks Sonny.

*Emily feels the effects of turning Juan down at the rave party when he allows Allison and her friends to pick her apart. After more harsh words, mostly consisting of Juan belittling Emily he deserts her to be with Alison. Lucky. Liz and Nik arrive late due to Nik being on "Prince time" and see how harshly Juan is treating Em and Lucky lets him have it. Juan retaliates by saying that Lucky is a mental case and is ruining Liz's life. He also makes a crack about the Quartermaines. Emily gets drunk with some help from spiked drinks. Liz convinces her that they should leave. Then they see Alison and Juan kissing. Emily runs into a stranger and ends up leaving the rave with him. Juan puts the brakes on Alison, but it's too late. Lucky takes off after Emily.

*I don't know about you guys, but I smell the start of the "teen summer storyline." Let's just hope that this means that Juan's on his way back to Puerto Rico and that Emily doesn't have the violent introduction to sex that most of our General Hospital heroines are subjected to on a regular basis.
