The Pre-Nurses Ball Episode

Carly comes down complaining that she doesn’t have any shoes that go with her dress, so she goes off to buy some.

Bobbi seduces Roy into going to the ball with her. He resists for a while, but eventually gives in. (this “story” lasted a while, but is best summed up in those two sentences.)

AJ tries once more to get Hannah to go to the ball with him. Hanna resists and ducks AJ’s request that she save him a dance. She goes into Kelly’s to get ready and AJ makes a call about the Quartermaine seating arrangements.

At Kellys, Emily gives Juan a pep talk about singing at the ball and they leave for L&B to get ready for the ball.

Tony drops off his costume for the ball and runs into Amy. He and Amy talk about Lucy’s situation. Tony leaves as Lucy starts yelling for Amy. Lucy is rabid as usual. Amy appeases her and later runs into Liz and Nicholas. Liz offers Nicholas a way out of going to the ball but Nicholas wants to honor his obligations as Stefan would have wanted him to do. Nicholas talks how wonderful Stefan was. He doesn’t want the Stefan/Luke thing to come between him and Lucky.

Lucky stops by the Spencer house to see Lulu, but she is not there. Lucky and Laura rehash the Stefan/Luke situation. Lucky leaves after offering a parting shot at Laura that she should not be so busy defending Luke that she forgets to comfort Nicholas.

Mike comes by the penthouse to “borrow cufflinks”. He is really checking up on Sonny. He is surprised that Sonny and Carly are going to the ball. Sonny says it’s important to Carly so he’s gong along for the ride. Mike asks how Carly is doing. While they discuss it, Carly has returned and is listening quietly at the door. Carly comes in and Mike leaves after apologizing to Carly for attacking her the last time he saw her. Carly tells Sonny he doesn’t have to go to the ball. Sonny accuses her of listening to his conversation with Mike. She denies it, but Sonny calls her bluff and she admits it. Sonny says he’s going; that he’s doing it for Stone. Later, there’s a cute scene with Carly, Sonny and Michael – they’re peeling an orange for him and he’s talking to them about it.

The Q’s are assembling at the mansion. Edward and AJ trade barbs as usual. Alan comes in and offers his usual dose of “understanding”. AJ once again gives his “I’m free” speech.

Mac finds Lucy and tells her he’s gotten Scott in touch with the police in South America (as everyone knows, there’s one police force for the entire continent). Kevin joins the conversation and tells Lucy it’s okay if she can’t go through with the ball. She says she can do it. The three of them have a group hug. Lucy runs off to find Amy. Mac tells Kevin that Robing in coming home for the ball; he hasn’t told her about the situation with him and Felicia. Mac leaves. Lucy is having a hair crisis. Kevin is there to rescue her. He gives her another pep talk about the ball as the music is beginning in the background.

Nicholas stops by to see Lucky. They talk about the Luke/Stefan ordeal. Nicholas breaks down and tells Lucky that Stefan wouldn’t have just left him (that’s what you think!!). Lucky reminds Nicholas that Stefan loved him. Nicholas reminds Lucky that both of his parents love him. Nicholas leaves.

The final montage is of everyone getting ready to go. Some of the highlights are of AJ belting back a shot of vodka, Lucky contemplates his tux, Helena tries to look girlish but ends up looking ghoulish, Robin has arrived.

Lucy comes out and welcomes everyone to the ball.

Sonny and Carly are running late. Carly packs a revolver in her purse and they depart.
