General Hospital Update for Friday, 2-Jun-2000

Sonny comes downstairs to find Carly holding one of the baby's toys, a small stuffed bunny. He tries to get her to come upstairs and play with Michael, and comments that she's still in her pajamas and it's afternoon. She's defensive and says she just needs a little time.

Laura finds out that Luke and Felicia are quarantined, and is not amused. Mac calls Kelly's and Luke answers. When Felecia gets on the phone, he hangs up on her.

Helena tries to convince Lucky to stay in town. The scene is very convoluted, but she seems to be hinting that he needs to do what's best for Liz. He wins their chess game and she wants to take him shopping for a memento of their time together, before he goes off and does "what needs to be done". As they leave, Stefan comes in, and it appears he overheard the conversation. Stefan rifles through Helena's desk and finds a picture of Helena and Lucky. He says the only way that Lucky would have allowed her to get so close was if he'd been brainwashed.

Sonny tells Carly he thinks she' a good other, and he'll take care of whatever she needs. She tells him that this morning she went in to check on Michael and spend some time with him, and that's when she found the bunny. She didn't want Michael to see her so upset, so she left. The phone rings, it's Roy and Bobbie. Sonny gets Bobbie on the phone to talk to Carly. Carly asks her to come over.

Felicia worries that Mac will think she's lying. Luke says he has the cure for what ails her and goes into the kitchen. Felicia calls home and tries to explain what's going on to the answering machine, but Mac turns down the volume and answers the door…it's Kevin.

Roy tells Hannah about the plot against Larkin. Larkin overhears. She offers to arrange a meeting for him.

Back at the penthouse, Bobbie tells Sonny they got what they needed on Larkin. Sonny leaves and Carly comes downstairs and Bobbie takes one look at her and guesses what happened. Bobbie comforts Carly and gets the full story (pretty accurately, Carly sounds regretful for provoking AJ and doesn't really seem to blame him.) The doctor told her she can still have children, and she's bitter and angry…no other child will ever replace the one she lost. Bobbie comforts her. Carly tells Bobbie that Sonny cleared out the baby's room and she realizes she was pretty unfair to him. She doesn't know why they can't hold onto each other during this difficult time. Bobbie tells her to do just that. Carly decides she's ready to get dressed.

Sonny comes up to Roy and Hannah on the docks, and Hannah offers her condolences and thank him for helping her father. She leaves and Roy tells Sonny he has the evidence, and asks what was Sonny's loss. Sonny tells Roy what happened, and how overwrought he is over the choice he was forced to make…Carly or the baby. It sounds like he knows he did the right thing but still feels guilty. Roy reassures him and then gives Sonny copies of the account information he has on Larkin. Sonny says he'll have Alexis arrange a meeting, and Roy says he'll be saying at Bobbies…after all, no one's going to pick him up in the next 24 hours…yeah right! It's a soap, silly! ;-)

Mac tells Kevin about Maxie's fight and that Felicia is with Luke. Kevin says that the behavior he's describing doesn't really sound like Felicia. Kevin tells Mac that they must be past the point of no return and to tell the girls the truth--they are fighting and it's not the girls' fault. Mac takes a little comfort in the fact that he did something right. Felicia comes in saying she left as soon as they let her. Mac asks, "How's Luke?" and she looks down at her shoes as we fade to commercial. Felicia offers Kevin best wishes on his new marriage, and he goes. Felicia is angry that Mac isn't giving her the chance to tell anyone her side of tings. She tells him what happened, and he tells her he doesn't care about the truth because Maxie punched a boy at school today. He lays into her about being a bad mother who abandoned her kids and doesn't even know them anymore, and she clearly feels awful. He threatens to find a way to take the girls from her.

Liz comes up to Kelly's and finds out that she can't go in. She sits with Laura and they talk a bit about Lucky and try to cheer each other up.

Luke comes out with a burger for Felicia, but she doesn't want to eat. Luke tries to tell her there's nothing they can do for now, and they should make the best of it. He asks her if she's tempted, and she admits that she's always tempted around him. He's flattered and tries to tell her to "cut Orphie loose" (her alias when she was out with him). He puts some money into the jukebox and they dance. A paramedic comes in and tells them they are free to go, but they finish their dance as we go to commercial.

Helena comes home to find Stefan waiting for her. He says he knows what she did to Lucky.

Liz runs into Lucky on the docks. He tells her that things change and people change. He says she means a lot to him and he wants her to be happy. He thinks that Nikolas will make her happy. She looks stunned.

Hannah is finishing up her jog when Larkin grabs her outside of Kelly's and drags her off.

Sonny comes home. Carly's dressed and she asks him whether they should save the bunny or give it to Michael. They decide to save it. She asks him if he'll make dinner if she sets the table. As he is in the kitchen, a delivery arrives…it's the cradle he ordered. She is badly shaken and grabs him and hugs him hard. He tells her he's sorry.

Carly tells Sonny she thinks he's angry because he blames her for losing the baby.
