General Hospital Update for Friday, 26-May-2000

Carly went home from the hospital. Before she left, Edward visited her to express his sympathy. Sonny tried to explain to Michael that his baby brother wouldn't be coming to live with them. When Carly got home, she told Michael that God wanted the baby now, so the baby was in Heaven. Michael kept saying, "baby sad." Carly told Michael that she and "Uncle Sonny" love him very much and are so glad to have him.

To get money, Bobbie and Roy sold the bracelet Jerry had given her. Roy then used most of the money to participate in a poker game with a rough-looking group. He seemed to be losing on purpose to throw them off. At the end of the show, he had a full house and was just about to reveal it.

Chloe, whose hair had clearly been affected by the radiation, fought with Jax over his attempt to take over ELQ. Edward came to Jax's suite to ask that next Tuesday's board meeting be postponed in order to give Sonny more time to grieve. Jax accused Edward of trying to get Sonny on his side and refused to postpone the meeting. Chloe interrupted the argument between the two men and asked Edward to leave. She then accused Jax of being as ruthless as Edward. He said that's who he is and he won't change. Later Tony called to say that the drug company won't let Chloe take the drug that could help her. Jax vowed to get the drug for Chloe.

Liz and Emily planned the dinner at Kelly's. It was an exact replica of last year's dinner for Liz, Emily, Nik, and Lucky. Everything was going very well until Liz brought out her brownies. Someone (Emily?) said they couldn't eat them until they made a wish. Emily broke a brownie in half and gave Nik a bite while saying, "friends forever," which Nik agreed to. Then Liz gave Lucky a piece of brownie and said, "more than friends forever." He froze and then finally said, "This isn't right."

Earlier in the day, Lucky ran into Felicia on the docks. Felicia criticized him for his attitude toward his parents. Luke arrived, Lucky left, and then Luke told Felicia to stay out of it. She said she had the right to say something since she went halfway around the world looking for Lucky. He put his hand on her face -- just in time for Laura to arrive. Laura told Felicia that she doesn't look like a woman who's trying to get her husband back.

The final scene of the day had Sonny run into AJ on the docks.
