General Hospital Update for Friday, 12-May-2000

we start out with nicholas and liz at her studio, talking about lucky and their meeting at the dock. liz tells nicholas about how impersonal and disconnected lucky seemed but that when he went to visit emily, he was like he always was with her, and that upset liz. hannah appears at the dock, and larkin shows up to tell her to tell roy that he owes the fbi. at the safehouse, sonny asks roy why he went to see luke, when he told him to stay put. carly goes to the hospital to see bobbie and to take her to lunch as she has some news for her, but bobbie thwarts her plans and insists on hearing the news now. she tells bobbie that she said yes to sonny and bobbie asks what changed. carly admits to liking some of sonny's qualities and that she respects him and finds herself liking him more each day. luke shows up and asks if they sent for the rescue team. he calls carly the "little pink gift box that just keeps on giving", and she responds by telling him that halloween is a ways off and he is acting like a bat out of hell. she leaves. luke talks to bobbie telling her that she should forget about a future with roy. he tells bobbie that roy made a terrible choice and she reminds luke that roy saved his life. luke tells her that now roy has put his life into sonny's hands and he doesn't want bobbie involved. she tries to defend sonny but luke reminds her of the shootout and how lucky was in the line of fire, thanks to sonny. he also tells bobbie that he tried to warn roy about sonny but he wouldn't listen. at that, bobbie laughs, and asks about lucky. she then promises to try and stay out of trouble, and luke leaves. carly thanks bobbie for standing up for her. bobbie leaves. sonny arrives at the hospital for their sonogram. he tells carly that they are having a boy who he thinks will wave at them today. she asks why they bother with technology when they have "psychic" sonny. she relays how bobbie took the news of their marriage plans and he again promises to take care of her and the children and that he never breaks his promises. he points out that as soon as this mess is over, they can start looking forward. she tells him that she trusts him and then audrey tells them that due to a cancellation, they can go in now. back at the safehouse, sonny tells roy that if he is not happy with their deal, he can leave anytime. roy asks what sonny has against luke, but sonny is vague. they agree to stick with the plan. bobbie arrives at the safehouse briefly to tell roy what luke said and about how concerned luke is. roy tells her to focus instead on what the future holds. she agrees, they kiss and then she leaves. back to hannah at the dock, aj shows up and ask her what's wrong. when she tells him that it's a family thing, he tells her that he practically has a degree in dysfunctional families. he then asks her if she would consider having dinner that evening with this guy he knows who's well-balanced, amusing, and recently divorced. she can't figure out who he's talking to and then realizes that he means himself. they go back and forth with hannah making objections to the idea, and aj making promises to behave, and finally they agree to have dinner at the grill. back to the studio: liz says that a part of lucky is still missing, and nicholas points out all that lucky has been through. he makes an analogy about being in a dark cave for a long time, and when you leave the cave, the sunlight is too overwhelming to take in all at once. liz realizes that by telling lucky that she still loves him, she was putting pressure on him, and nicholas tells her that it was lucky's love for her that brought him home. they agree to pass on messages to lucky from each other, depending on who sees him first. nicholas leaves, and lucky shows up and comes into the studio. they make small talk, and it's obvious how uncomfortable and nervous they both are. he's impressed by how much she's improved in her painting and then she shows him the portrait that she did of him and that her instructor called it "naive". he is stunned and says that it looks exactly like how he used to be. that upsets her so he explains that everyone changes, as well as everything, such as the fact that now there is a house on the route to the old boxcar. liz asks if he found her note, he says yes, and then she spoils the situation by telling him that she means every word of it. he gets upset and leaves. she later rips up one of the sketches of him. mike and luke meet on the dock and mike tells luke that he saw lucky, but hesitated on telling luke for fear that luke would push lucky away like he almost did with sonny. he reminds him that now he is close with sonny, because he took it slow. later, luke is sitting on the dock when lucky runs into him. luke calls him cowboy. hannah and aj meet up at the grill and start enjoying their dinner when carly shows up. they all exchange negative comments, including carly calling hannah the fbi whore. aj asks the waiter to throw her out, but he says that he will check with the management. carly reminds the waiter that her fiance, sonny corinthos is on the board of elq. back at the hospital, bobbie is in a tearing hurry to leave work when tony announces that she is due in the or early the next day. she tells him to recheck the schedule because she has plans. she then asks audrey to cover for her so that she can leave, and audrey agrees. this is because audrey doesn't have a life. at the dock, roy and sonny are met by larkin and two other guys. sonny tells roy that it was either roy or himself so he chose to give roy over to larkin. larkin pulls out a gun and tells sonny to use it on roy to keep it quiet. sonny says that that wasn't the deal and that he doesn't want to get suckered into a murder rap. larkin tells him that it's either that or sonny will be in prison along with roy. roy asks johnny for his gun, but larkin insists on him using his gun. the two other guys frisk roy to make sure that he's not wearing a vest. roy starts sweating bullets and tells larkin that he is making the biggest mistake of his life, which obviously doesn't affect larkin one way or the other. larkin tells sonny to end it now. he picks up the gun and faces roy, who tells larkin that he will see him in hell. roy then tells sonny that luke was right about him being a lowlife, sonny tells him that nobody's perfect, he aims and shoots.

previews: carly tells hannah that sonny asked her to marry him and that what sonny wants, he gets. laura asks liz how long lucky has been in town. bobbie runs to the dock and asks where's roy, i heard a gun shot. tell me where he is. luke asks lucky what's happening with him.
