General Hospital Update for Monday, 3-Apr-2000

We start out with Helena & Newlucky riding in the limo. She asks him what he's thinking and he denies thinking anything. He states that with so many sites to visit and too quickly, he feels overstimulated to the point that the purpose of the trip is lost on him. Helena doubts this and asks him to name his favorite spot. He tells her that it's Texas which has nothing to do with her, or the Cassadines or even his parents, but where he feels the most at home. She hands him a large box with a picture of Elizabeth and what she tells him are updates of his family and friends. He refuses to read it, opting to find out for himself. Over to the literal cliffhanger with Felicia hanging on for dear life,we find Laura attempting to help her. Meanwhile, Mac has the girls on a plane bound for El Paso to live with their greatgrandmother. Maxie tells Mac that she wants to stop the back & forth living and that she feels her mother doesn't love her either, but Mac covers for Felicia and tells her that no matter what happens, he will always remain in their lives. Back at Luke's, Bobbie tells Roy not to reveal himself to Sonny due to the potential consequences. (This is without the sinister background music that usually accompanies such announcements) They argue about what is the best way to deal with Roy's situation but don't reach an agreement. Their argument gets interrupted by Benny who comes to tell Roy that Sonny is promoting him and wants to see him the next day. After Benny leaves, Bobbie returns and again asks Roy to confess all to Sonny in the hope that they can work together. They share a passionate kiss and she leaves, with a reminder to him to call her tomorrow after he talks to Sonny. Rae attempts to gain either access to the penthouse or information as to who lives there in her quest for the rolltop desk, but she is firmly escorted out by one of Sonny's guys, although she does reveal that she is looking for a bible with family papers inside the desk. She had one great line"I don't care if he's the wizard of oz, I have to see him". Made me laugh. Back at the grill, after carly falls over the table, Sonny tells her to lie still, but when aj apologizes, Sonny lunges at AJ choking him. Carly manages to talk Sonny into letting AJ go, and after AJ demands to press charges to Taggert, Sonny begins to threaten him back, but Taggert intervenes with "Don't go there". Sonny & Carly leave and return to the penthouse. Johnny tries to tell him about Rae but Sonny won't listen and instead he and Carly argue. He tries to tell her that she can't come between him and anyone that comes after him, but Carly sees this as just another effort to control her and stalks upstairs. Sonny pours himself some water and starts remembering the last time that he saw Lily alive, and then he flashes back and forth between Lily and Carly, both smiling at him. At that moment, Baby Michael runs into the room with Carly right behind him, who apologizes to Sonny, but Sonny is fine with it. Michael gives Sonny a kiss and they leave. Back at the Grill, Taggert tells Aj not to even think about pressing charges because he could have Sonny and Aj in ajoining cells, Aj for 2 counts of assault. AJ stews at the bar, and even when Hannah tries to get him to stop drinking and leave, he stays. AJ tells Hannah that while he is addicted to alcohol, she is addicted to Sonny, and she responds that she still cares for Sonny and she knows that he still cares for Carly. They meet Rae and fill her in on who lives in the penthouse and what kind of person he is. She thanks them for the information as well as for the warning and she leaves. Luke and Laura manage together to rescue Felicia and they decide that Luke & Laura will go to Marakesh, the next stop on the trip, while Felicia will jump ahead and go to Ireland. While asleep on the plane, Felicia places her hand on Luke's, much to Laura's dismay. Finally, back at the penthouse, Sonny cries out and Carly comforts him. Next: Edward orders that AJ be thrown out of the house. Helena tells Lucky that they are almost to their last stop. Georgie tells her greatgrandmother that mommy has a new boyfriend. Sonny tells Carly to return to bed, so she moves closer to him on his bed.
