General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 29-Feb-2000

Chloe and the Hospital
----------------------
Ned, Alexis and Jax, are grouped outside Chloe’s door, discussing her surgery. They want her to wake up but Tony tells them that Chloe just needs rest and that they should they should alternate bed sitting. Jax goes in first, while Alexis and Ned reassure each other outside. He says that he loves her and asks her to fight this through.

At the Q’s house, Edward is grumbling about Chloe’s less than speedy recovery to Monica, Alan, A.J. and Emily, as they irritate each other in varying degrees. Emily finally yells at them to try to be nice to each other. She seems really upset that Chloe may not recover, as she compares it to Jason’s accident.

Tony remarks to Audrey that Chloe would be awake by now if he had performed the surgery. He really wants to get back into it but is afraid he won’t be able to perform. Audrey asks him if he’s sure it’s over, since he was the best neurosurgeon that she’s ever seen. Monica and Alan show up at the hospital and want to know why Chloe hasn’t woken up. Ned comments to Monica on how this reminds him of waiting for Jason to wake up. Edward than shows up at the hospital and attempts to mask his own worry by reassuring everyone else that Chloe will pull through. He tells Chloe of all the support she has and how he admires her for marrying Ned for business purposes. According to him she would have pulled it off if it weren’t for the Australian. He then tells her to walk up because Jax won’t go away; he’s still her waiting for her.

Edward than offers Alexis a position as ELQ’s lawyer. She wants to know how much time that will take, to which he replies that she will probably have to drop all her other cases and start tomorrow. Alexis says that she’ll have to wait until after the paternity case. Grandfather grumbles, as Ned comments that Alexis saw right through him.

Back into the room as Chloe wakes and can see.

Kelly’s

Bobby is attempting to do the books but only can think of Roy and their kiss. Elizabeth comes over and they discuss bad boys with good hearts. In a rare moment of astuteness for a soap character, Eliz figures out that she’s thinking about Roy. Bobby looks shocked and asked her how she knows. Elizabeth reminds her of New Years at the docks. Bobby explains Roy’s situation- showing up after 20 years and says that he still gets to her like before. Eliz comments that she still wonders about Lucky showing up. (No hinting here :0) Bobby then leaves to go visit Roy.

Hannah comes down from upstairs and runs into Mike, who ignores her as she comments on his grandchild. Mike then informs her that he blames her for Sonny turning to Carly and that if she wants to help Sonny she should just leave. Hannah says she’s tired of taking the crap for all this and goes and sits at a table at the back. Taggert comes in and joins her. She warns him that if he sits with her he won’t get served. Tammy greets Mike and congratulates him on the news. Mike thinks that Sonny is setting himself up for failure, that he won’t be able to pull off this Daddy act to his satisfaction. Tammy says that if Sonny wants to do it, he will, he can accomplish anything he wants to. Hannah interrupts with a demand for service, which leads to her and Tammy butting heads as Hannah goes on (and on and on) about Sonny and how no one is going to chase her out of town.

L&B
---
Emily walks in as Juan’s playing back a tape he’s just made. He repeatedly cuts himself up and says that he can’t sing (he’s right) but she attempts to convince him that gifts can come and go and that he shouldn’t waste his talent. They start to kiss and Elizabeth walks in. Slight awkward moment is skimmed over and then Elizabeth asks about Chloe. Juan leaves while Eliz and Emily settle in for a girl chat about if Emily is “ready.” Eliz cautions her about protection to which Em responds that she’s not Carly. Juan returns and says that he’s going to continue to sing. He then asks Em to be his vocal coach.

Luke’s
------
Roy is going through the mail when Larkin shows up. Roy tells him that he’s trying to get him reassigned, since Larkin keeps trying to blow his cover. Roy is soon grabbing him, throwing him on the desk and yelling at him to leave. Bobby of course chooses this moment to walk in and breaks up the little squabble. Roy explains it as Larkin just following up on his arrest yesterday. Roy thanks her and Bobby asks why he doesn’t ask Hannah for help- he says he doesn’t want to involve her. He then asks her what she came for and she mentions something about looking for Luke. He comments that he shouldn’t have kissed her and we feel the sexual tension heightening…

Quatermaine’s

A.J. meets Lyla and she tells him that he should compromise with Carly. He says that she has used Michael since the day he was born. Grandmother says that Carly isn’t the only one as she looks at A.J. He seems to get it but doesn’t back down.
