General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 23-Feb-2000

The end of the "mixed-marrieds"
Nad and Chloe show up at Jaxs' penthouse, with Gertrude hot on their heels. Chloe Morgan Designs is now legally Gerts'. No one seems too upset about it. Chloe says despite not being able to see, she is not the blind one in the room. (Meaning Love/relationships are important; something Gert doesn't seem to get.) Ned leaves to take care of some business.

Tony and Laura are at the Grill discussing the Outreach program and a fundraising idea. In course of conversation he mentions Stephan and Felicia. Laura is grateful fro everything he's done, but the time apart has been good for her. It allows her to think about things. Luke has moved on, and prefers to stay clear of the subject of Felicia. Tony upset at the idea of Fluke.
Mac walks in asking if Lulu can come for dinner sometime. Tony asks if Felicia is out of town; doing research replies Mac who then leaves. Tony asks Laura questions, disbelieving that Felicia could be involved with Luke because "she's devoted to Mac". Tony leaves. As Laura is leaving she stops by Macs' table and tells him not to give up. Marriage and a family are worth fighting for.

at the Q's
Alan and Monica discussing his "date" later with Gert even though Alan doesn't see the point. But AJ doesn't need Ned in his face with everything going on says Monica. They have a cute scen in which Monica pretends to be Gert so Alan can practice seducing her. Alan remarks that he can't come up with any good reasons to leave M. only reasons to stay. Ned walks in and announces that it's over Gert has Chloes' company. After he explains the past 8-9 months, Monica asks him about his plans for ELQ. He says I have my own company and woman whom I'm going to "romance, like no woman has ever been romanced".

At L&B
Em is studying math(i think)and Juan is still upset about Nicks' job. She responds by going on about Juans "gift" of singing and how he should use it to make his own place at L&B. Jax and Chloe show up. Chloe wants to retrieve her voice-mail. As an overly eager Juan tries to help her get across the room, a vase gets knocked over and broken. Juan gets upset/embarrassed. Jax send the teens out for Hot chocolate. As they sit at a table , Chloe says it was pointless to show up. Liz walks in looking for J. and Em. As she talks with Chloe, the phone start ringing. After 4 rings, Chloe decides to answer it. Whoever is on the line wants to know the # for a dress Chloe designed for the Oscars. Liz finds the drawing and reads it to her. Chloe again offers Liz a job as her assistant; Liz accepts. Juan and em return saying they just saw Liz saying something about working there. Jaun and Em talk more about how maybe he should use his talent. He seems to really be considering it.

We see Alexis making notes to herself about lines of research for Sonny's planned custody battle. Stephan interupts her and wants to know what progress she has made on getting a case together against Helena. She has $ and travel trails that connect Faisona and Helena and is working on getting "hard" evidence. She expresses her disapproval at how he is handling things. Stephan repeats his reasons for not telling anyone else that Lucky is alive. Says they just missed getting Lucky in Nova Scotia, but I have someone who can tell me where he is now.

Fluke are on Helenas' yacht looking for anything that might lead them to where Lucky is now. They duck behind the bar when Andreas comes in. Felicia peers around the bar and is shocked to see "Ari". Luke explains that they're twins and something about "Helena getting a discount if she gets her boy-toys in pairs". Stephan comes on board asking Andreas where Helena is holding Lucky now. He tries to avoid giving a direct answer but Stephan says threatens him by saying it would only take a look from me to plant a seed of doubt in Helenas' mind. And we both know how she deals with traitors. Andreas then spills the beans; that she rented a cabin a short distance away near Spring Lake. Having gotten what he came for Stephan leaves. Andreas also leaves after a call from Helena. Fluke decide to go to Spring Lake before anyone else can get there.
