General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 8-Feb-2000

Sorry this took so long to post. My VCR committed mutiny and i had to fetch a tape from a friend.

So on Tuesdays show....

Emily spoke with Liz about writing a school paper on Mary Mae Ward and then enlisted her friends help to sneak out before being noticed by Taggert, whom she hasn't encountered since he caught her and Juan in a comprimising situation.
As Liz and Emily ran out the door we got the honor of seeing Hannah doing something similar to jogging around the corner and into Kelly's. Inside, predictably, she bumped into Lt. Taggart, who talked her into having dinner with him.

Next, Stephan-in-shades met a chubby faced, odd fellow, who we are to believe is a mercinary (snort) and tells him he wants to hire him to recue a boy being held captive. Meanwhile, we see Helana on the phone in a bit of a "tiff" because Lucky has tripped the alarm. She orders the security on "Young Mr. Spencer" be doubled, and indicated that she may be suspicious of an intruder on the premises.

At "Monica's house" Edward was still doing his 'happy dance'over Carly's pregnancy. When Monica arrived, he made a quick exit to allow AJ to share the swell news (!) about 'his' new baby. Needless to say, she was, um... shocked, shall we say? She made a semi-valiant effort at showing support and pleasure with the news. Next, entered Alan who seemed sincerely pleased with the news, but put AJ on the spot by asking about Carly's due date. (Think quick AJ!!!) Bright-boy that AJ is, he swiftly made the claim that he was sooooo excited over the news about the pregnancy (is that how u remember it???) that he just PLUM FORGOT to ask how "far along" his wife was... then he hauled hiney out of there quickly to avoid any further questions. When AJ was out of earshot, Monica let her true feelings be known about Carly and "AJ's" new baby.

Next, Stephan shows up on Laura's doorstep and tells her his trip was "extremely productive." As Laura goes to tend to LuLu, Stephan stares painfully at a picture of Lucky, as he presumably is conflicted over whether he should share his news about Lucky. Laura returns from upstairs and they then discuss her "dead" son. Stephan comforts her, but doesn't say a word about knowing that Lucky is alive.

Next are Luke and Felicia in Greece, preparing to storm Cassadine Island. Felicia questions Luke about how they are going to avoid the guards on the island and he assures her that everything will be okay, as he HAS done this sort of thing before. Luke then begins to feast on "street grub"... some sort of meat and green sauce... all of which disgusts Felicia, who suggests they go over the plans for the evening on Cassadine island.

In the meantime, Nickolas goes to visit Mac to inform him of Liz's recent dangerous situation and asks for help. While he's there, Felicia calls Mac, who is becoming more frustrated with Felicia's deception. After saying goodbye to Flea, Mac explains to Nik that there is nothing he can do about Sorel unless Liz files a harassment charge herself against him.

We next see Luke and Felicia putting on their best black-covert-operations-garb in preparation for their "operation rescue Lucky" adventure. Luke however starts to feel... um... icky. As he doubles over in pain, Felicia quickly points out that he probably has food poisoning from his
not-so-gourmet street food, and their caper will have to wait until the following evening to which Luke reluctantly agrees.

Back at the Q's, Emily talks to Edward about his relationship with Mary Mae. Emily inquires about what Edward's real feelings for Mary Mae were and if he didn't stay with her because she was black. She then asked if he ever thought about marrying Mary Mae and he explained that he loved Lila even more than Mary Mae. He then explained that even if there wasn't Lila, it was impossible for a white person to marry a black person back in "those days" and he just didn't have the courage to fight society back then. He later thought back to conversations he had with Mary Mae about their relationship.

Next, we have the pleasure of Hannah and Tag's eating, talking about a case that means nothing to us, and Hannah asking him if Dara has something against her. (Now, who would have ANYTHING against HANNAH??) Taggart explains that the chilly reception she is getting from Dara has more to do with him and their 'failed' attempt at a relationship. They later decide to take a walk together.

Back at Laura's, Leslie comes downstairs to sit with her daughter and they talk about Stephan and Luke. Laura explains that she really appreciates Stephan and how he always let's her know when he's leaving town. (I understand... after all, that's the first thing that I look for in a guy... No leaving the country w/o a note, at least!) Leslie offers the idea that perhaps LUKE had a good reason for not telling her he was leaving. Leslie suggest that Laura's irritation with Luke isn't just about Leslie Lu, but perhaps about feelings Laura still has for Luke.

Mac goes to visit Liz at Kelly's and tries to persuade her into filing a complaint against Sorel. Mac tells her it was Nik who told him about her trouble which leads to a big fight between the two later. (I think the words "It's MY life" may have been used in their exchange but the arguement's with Liz and Nik are sort of blurring together lately.)

On the docks, we again see Stephan "I wear my sunglasses at night" Cassadine talking to his pudgy-faced friend and insisting that he take part in the "rescue the boy" mission.

Felicia grows weary of trying to sleep in the hotel chair and gives up and sleeping next to Luke on the bed.

Back to Helana, who is again on the phone and requests that she recieve the latest tapes of Lucky and 'they" may have to "Move more quickly than planned."
