General Hospital Update for Friday, 28-Jan-2000

The show starts with Alexis and Chloe talking about her 'disguise' so that Mr. and Mrs. Jacks can be alone. Chloe leaves wearing a big coat.

Cut to Helena telling Andreas that the obstacle of Alexis must be removed today. Andreas points out that Alexis might not know about Lucky Spencer, but Helena wants to go along with her plans anyways, and is disappointed that Andreas seems squeamish.

Luke is back in town and he's talking over what he found, or didn't find. He went and found Faison's old house and talked to some friends, but found no concrete evidence besides his gut telling him that his son was alive. Roy suggests that Faison is just playing with him and Luke tells him that he just can't imagine his son going to sleep with candles burning, and even if he did how could he have slept through a raging inferno? The kid had survival instincts his whole life through and it doesn't make sense his dying in a fire. Roy asks if he's going to tell Laura and Luke says no. Roy tells him that Laura is stronger than she looks and Luke gets all testy and says no one knows his wife better than him.

Felicia asks Tammy to read her book for an opinion (is Felicia getting on anybody else's nerves lately?) Sonny comes in to talk to Liz about the bodyguard. He tells her to just act like he's not there. He assures Tammy that she'll be protected and won't need any more weapons. Sonny tells Frances no breaks unless he has backup that the girl stays safe at any price.

Carly is trying to talk to Bobbie at the hospital about how hard it must have been for Bobbie to give Carly up. Carly's getting upset and Bobbie thinks it's about Michael and wonders if she's thinking of giving Michael up. Carly says no that she's just realizing how hard it is to be a mother etc. etc. Bobbie asks her for coffee she says no and leaves. Bobbie is confused.

Stefan finds Laura at the hospital and asks if she knows what Luke is doing and where he is. She says no that he just told her that he had to check on something even if it didn't pan out. She begs Stefan not to endanger Luke because he is the father of her children--or child. Stefan assures her that he has nothing to gain by hurting Luke. He thinks Luke is investigating the connection between Helena and Faison.

Chloe and Jax are in their lovers nest and talking about how soon they can be together showing the world how they feel. Jax talks about this cabin in Alaska where they could be completely alone, touching stars etc. etc.

Cut to Felicia at Luke's club shouting welcome home--but it's Roy. She doesn't really seem to be embarrassed to be there (has she no shame?) They talk about her altercation with Laura. Roy gets frustrated with the books and leaves Felicia alone with them and to wait for Luke telling her his message for Luke is that he owes him one.

Luke is still at Kelly's hassling Sonny about what's happening to Elizabeth. He tells Sonny that that little girl will always have a piece of his son's heart and he wants her safe. He tells Liz to follow Sonny's instructions to the T. She promises she will. She sits down with a depressed looking Sonny and tells him that Luke is over-reacting. He tells her that Luke thinks he betrayed him. Liz insists that Sonny is not the betraying kind and Sonny informs her that he's stabbed many people in the back that deserved better from him.

Sonny goes down to the docks and Carly is there. They start out having this conversation about Jason that he thought Sonny was better than Sonny thought he was and that he was loyal to Sonny. Sonny tells Carly that Jason said the same thing about her. It was actually starting to be something wonderful between them and Carly asks for a truce and Sonny wrecks it by telling her that Jason should have taken Michael with him because of the mother he's stuck with. Carly tells him to go to hell and she makes up her mind. Off to the abortion clinic.

Bobbie is frustrated at the hospital and Tony comes over to talk to her. They talk about Carly and Tony finally tells her that Carly is pregnant. (What happened to doctor patient confidentiality?) Bobbie starts calling around to clinics and finds the one Carly is at. Carly is called back to see the doctor after reminiscing what Michael's birth was like.

Jax and Chloe are coming back from their romantic interlude kissing and such. She's going across the street to he bakery and her heel breaks off. (Couldn't she design decent shoes? Where does she shop anyways?) She laughingly shows Jax and Helena runs over her in her car, thinking it's Alexis. Jax runs in the road shouting her name and call 911. That's the show for today!

Next week: Jax is shouting at Chloe's lifeless form, Chloe wake up, it's Jax.

Bobbie is insisting to the secretary that she needs to be with her daughter.

Carly tells the doctor she's ready.
