General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 11-Jan-2000

Monica is considering Neds' plan. Alan is saying there has to be better way of supporting Aj then breaking up our marriage. Chloe says think of it as a way for everyone to get what they want. Suddenly Monica asks why do you need us? You're already "happily married" to Ned. Gertude can't get your company. (Finally someone is starting to get it!) They come up with a flimsy excuse of how tired they are of being followed and just want to be left alone. (Monica buys it, rats) They leave Monica and Alan to talk it over in private. AJ continues to threaten Carly with drugs and an appt. with a shrink. Calry says the only way to get rid of her is a divorce with her having custody of Michael. In your dreams retorts AJ. Edward and Carly have a chat in which he says he enjoyed her performance "Carly-babe", but she would be better off fighting for the Qs' than against them. He ends up telling her that neither she nor her son will leave the Qs'. Carly asks if Lila is upset because she ruined the party. Says she did it to prove that her and Michael don't belong there. And that everything she does is in her sons' best interest. Is it really, or are you doing what is best for yourself asks Lila leaving Carly to think it over.
Juan comes thru Ems' window. They interrupt each other trying to apologize. They kiss and make up. Things are starting to get interesting when Alan knocks. They have a father/daughter talk in which Alan says, maybe Juan isn't so bad after all. (meanwhile he's hiding under the bed!)

Luke/Felicia are watching the tape. She says I have to tell Mac the truth before Faison does it.
Which truth asks Luke. That believing we were going to die soon, 2 friends found comfort in each others arms. But nothing else happend, because I love Mac and would never be unfaithful she replies. She wants to do it alone, but Luke says it will be easier for Mac to blame me if I'm there. They go off to find Mac. Meanwhile Mac has an APB out on Faison, and has Taggert bringing in Helena for questioning. Helena tries to pass of the transfer of $ as payment for jewelry. Luke says she's paying Faison to go after someone, himself maybe? In the end they let Helena go. She goes to tell Faison that the rest of his escape will happen tomorrow and then we'll be even (each having restored the others' freedom of movement) Not quite, you still have Lucky says Faison. Luke and Felicia decide this is not a good time to tell Mac about the tape.

Sonny walks in on Jason telling Hannah to leave. Wants to know if she's there to get evidence. Then proves he's no dummy by saying no, you thought you could get to me thru Jason. Hannah goes into her same old sob story. Sounds pretty, but its getting repetitive. After she leaves, the two guys have a stilted conversation about how Sorels' explosive guy was in town the day before the bobe was found, the need to beef up security for an expected shipment and Jasons' wound. Alone again, Jason looks at a picture of Michael/Carly, remembering when he told Michael he couldn't see him anymore. Clearly Jason is having second thought about his ability to continue in current situation, can't even trust Sonny the way he used to. (thus paving the way for Steve Burtons' exit)
