General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 21-Dec-1999

Sorry this update is so late! The holiday crazies have invaded my house! :-) I hope you all have a WONDERFUL holiday, whichever one(s) you celebrate!

Now, on to the update:

Our show opens with Alexis telling Jax that she is looking forward to a Jax family Christmas.

Emily leaves Jason a worried-sounding voice mail message…she hasn’t heard from him in days and hopes that he is all right. Carly is sitting on the couch in the den and chimes in that maybe Jason is sick of Emily and her petty teenage problems. Emily thinks that Carly must know where Jason is…after all she follows him everywhere. AJ overhears the exchange, and walks in as Emily walks out…he tells Carly that now he knows why she’s been surly…Jason cut her off. And oh, by the way, I’m changing the rules for our marriage.

Felicia has a weird dream-Mac and Maxie are talking and moving around in the living room looking for Georgie’s shoe…and they can’t see or hear her. Maxie wants to know when her mom will be home, and Mac reassures her that Felicia is thinking of them. Luke comes in through the door, with some glowing light behind him. Felicia says that she doesn’t want to be dead…then tries to leave with Luke, and as she walks through the door, she looks back to her family and pauses as we fade to commercial. (By the way, did she have some, well, um, cosmetic surgery recently….it looks like she has grown some….if you catch my drift…)

Felicia and Luke wake up in each others’ arms and are surprised that they are not dead. Faison comes in and said he filled the room with “sleeping gas” (Jeez! Can’t they do a little research and get the name of one!) But, the gas leaked out of the room….leading them to search the room and find a vent…

AJ and Carly go through round number 3487, which is the same scene again: Carly doesn’t want public displays of affection, AJ threatens Ferncliff…she responds by suggesting he find a new threat….that one won’t work.

Alexis meets Ned at the newly remodeled L&B offices. BTW, the set looks pretty cool….lots of metal architecture and neon signs…Ned comments that Chloe is decorating everything hip and funky. Ned likes it…Alexis makes sure she can decorate her own office….they kiss.

Roy goes to visit Laura and check out the house. He also meets Lulu and is very good with her. Laura notices this too and asks if he has a little sister. He says no, but he has a daughter that he has no contact with. (HELLO! If he has no contact with her, how can he be good with KIDS!?!?!? Also, are they really going make Carly his? I don’t remember that from way back when…..) He tells Laura that prison has made him reflect a lot…about the road not taken, etc. The doorbell rings, and in comes Bobbie to wish Laura a happy birthday. Roy is surprised that the two get along so well…after all when he left, they hated each other….

Back to Luke and Felicia, it turns out the vent was fake…Faison comes in and tells them that he was just trying to keep them entertained. He will continue playing games with them until he kills them. For some reason, the phrase, “Don’t play with your food.” Kept popping into my head during this :-)

Monica comes in to the den and tells Carly that no one wants her gone more than she does. However, Edward would crucify AJ if Carly left him, so Carly must play nice until Monica can figure out a good way for her to exit.

Alexis tells Ned she spoke to the Feds and told them that Jerry missed an important meeting with her. Ned worries that she’ll get into trouble. She reassures him and leaves as Juan comes in. He is surprised to see Ned…Ned tells Juan that he rearranged his schedule to see him. Juan worries that he’s in trouble…

Alan comes into the den and Monica shares her worries with him. Alan says that Carly and AJ have a son together and he won’t promote a divorce between them (shades of Dr. Laura here?). However, he agrees that he will help AJ grow more self-confident and sure of himself. (Monica thinks this will help AJ see he doesn’t need Carly around after all.)

Felicia worries that her girls will grow up without a mother, just like she did. Luke holds her and comforts her.

Jax asks Chloe out for New Year’s Eve. She accepts, of course.

Ned wants Juan to reassure him that his intentions towards Emily are good, and will kill him if he hurts her. He wants to be sure that Emily is not just a convenient excuse to keep him from going back to Puerto Rico. Juan insists that he and Emily hare connected and she makes him better.

Roy agrees to rent Laura’s spare room…..the doorbell rings and it’s Stefan brining her roses for her birthday. He doesn’t look too thrilled to meet Roy.

Felicia wonders what if things had been different and she and Luke had met in a different time and place. Would they still have connected? He says he would have been slow, but he would have known her anywhere. (This seems like a big love scene to me….) They start kissing.
