General Hospital Update for Monday, 22-Nov-1999

Hi Everyone!

Sorry this update is late…my cable went out and I had to get a friend to FedEx me her tape!

Today's show opens with Faison checking to make sure his new room is adequately furnished. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, it has a four poster bed, lots of flowy white drapes, and is very feminine in white and yellow. (When he first rented this room, I thought it was for Helena, but these colors make me suspect it's for Felicia…no brocade or burgundy!)

Laura and Stefan are cuddling in bed. Laura never thought her life would feel right again, but she's happy here. They tell each other they love each other. Nik is pacing downstairs looking for Stefan. Laura comes downstairs. Nik says Stefan isn't his father…Laura looks shocked and asks if Helena told him this lie. Nik says that it was Alexis who told him. Cut over to Stefan who has just entered the room. He asks, "Alexis told you?" He looks surprised and is very cold.

Sonny and Jason are talking. Sonny wants Marino out. He wants to drop one more tip through Hannah and get rid of her. He's worried that he is in over his head with her. Jason is worried that he hasn't told Bobbie about Jerry's money laundering. She's been so good to him in the past. Hannah comes in to say she's home. Sonny leaves with her.

There's a small replay of Friday. Bobbie comes down the aisle and the feds come crashing in to arrest Jerry. Bobbie tries to step in, and Lucas has a fit. She sends him upstairs with Mac. Jerry is arrested on the charge of money laundering and is taken away insisting he's innocent. Bobbie clearly believes him. Jax's parents ask him and Alexis to help. Luke comforts Bobbie while Roy watches from the sidelines looking helpless.

Just an aside…there was an interesting mix of people at this wedding: Alan and AJ, The Jax parents, Jax and Alexis, Mac and Felicia, Luke and Roy, Carly, and three extras…no Amy, no Audrey, no Monica, no Liz or Tammy…I thought this was a little odd.

Nik and Stefan go around and around, it all comes down to Stefan didn't tell him because he was protecting Nik…and Nik is sick of being protected. Laura defends Stefan, pointing out that Stefan has devoted his life to Nik. Laura points out that in her heart Stefan is Nik's father. Nik tells Laura that love doesn't justify lies, and Laura of all people should know that. (OUCH!) Nik storms off. Stefan is surprised that she stays by his side. She understands why he did it, and loves him no matter what.

Sonny and Hannah get back to the penthouse. He looks distraught at how bad her interview was. (I'll spare you her pack of lies about it…standard "some PR firm" "I don't want to give you details, because I don't want any favors from you." etc…)

Back to the wedding-- Felicia and Mac check in on Bobbie…Mac was out of the loop because of his friendship with her, but he'll go see what he can find out. Felicia says she'll stay, he can take the car.

Jax apologizes to Bobbie for everything that's happened. John and Jane promise that Bobbie is family and they'll all take care of her.

AJ and Alan offer to help, Carly sends them off, saying she'll take a cab. (I think we all realize "I'll take a cab" means "I'll see Jason along the way"…she needs a new line!)

Felicia asks Luke for a ride home. Luke points out that Spencers like to lick their wounds in private.

FBI Guy complements Roy on his good information…without him there would have been no bust. Roy says he had no idea that they were bringing down Jerry Jax. He looks like someone just ran over his puppy or something…

Everyone has gone home…Bobbie is hugging Lucas when Tony comes in to pick him up. Bobbie lets him know what happened, Tony is genuinely sorry. He wanted her to be happy. He asks Lucas if he still wants to come home with him. Lucas says yes, and Bobbie says she'll call him in the morning.

Jax, Alexis, Jane, and John go back to Jax's penthouse. Jax and Alexis admit they knew all along, so did dad. Mom thanks them for keeping her out of the loop. Chloe comes in and asks how the wedding was…she clearly doesn't know what happened. Jax briefs her, she asks if there's anything she can do to help. John dismisses her saying it's a family matter. She looks a little crushed and leaves. Jane says that all she wants for Jerry is what Jax and Alexis have. They go. Jax tells Alexis if she wants out, now is the time because the house of cards is about to fall down. Alexis is staying…he's glad he married her. They share a sweet hug. Cut to Chloe standing in the hallway. (I can't tell if she can hear, or if they're just reminding us that she's a little sad about being thrown out, when she wants to be with Jax. Personally, today, I'm rooting for Jaxis…)

Carly goes to Jason and tells him what happened. She is stunned that he knew. She feels betrayed that he knew and didn't tell her or Bobbie, but eventually he makes her understand. He was just keeping his word…which she admires. She forgives him. They kiss…really kiss, no cheek peck here.

Laura asks Stefan if he'll take a DNA test…he says of course, Nik needs to know for sure. The results won't change how he feels about Nik. Laura shares that she always wanted Nik to be his.

Felicia invites Luke in after he gave her a ride home. She offers him a snack, which he accepts, but the phone is ringing. They start to ignore it, but when the machine picks up, it's Maxie. Felicia chats with her daughter a bit about school and it's not safe for Maxie and Georgie to come home yet. Luke looks saddened by the realization that he can't ask her to give up her family. He ends up leaving as soon as she gets off of the phone. They have an awkward moment at the door, like they're not sure whether to kiss or not. They don't and he leaves.

Bobbie walks through her living room sadly, looking at the remains of her wedding. She sits. After the commercial, Roy comes in to her, and kneels at her feet and comforts her.

Felicia comes downstairs in her pajamas telling Mac he didn't need to sneak in, she was waiting up for him. Faison grabs her. (Guess my theory was right…)
