General Hospital Update for Friday, 12-Nov-1999

Hello GH fans. Friday's episode launched new plot twists and perhaps the beginning of Hannah's downfall.

Stefan visits Alexis at her and Jax's apartment to ask Alexis to go with him to recant his confession of killing Katherine. Jax insists on remaining in the room when Stefan's there, which greatly annoys Stefan. Jax taunts Stefan over Helena's miraculous recovery. After Stefan leaves, Alexis tells Jax he shouldn't make Stefan an enemy. She also tells him that aside from her relationship with Ned, marrying Jax is the best thing she's ever done.

Mac runs into Helena on the docks. He tells Helena that she's now the primary suspect in Katherine's death. Helena questions whether Stefan's false confession is illegal; Mac says, "If we're lucky, you'll both be in jail." He warns her not to leave town.

Hannah receives a phone call from Larkin, who reminds her that she has to make sure Sonny and Jason are at Pier 17 when the bust goes down. She tells him to go to hell. Johnny escorts her to the docks, because she's trying to find Sonny, whom she believes will actually be at Pier 17. She finds Jason and Sonny and begins a very annoying attempt to get them to stay home for dinner. She wants them all to be friends as they were in the beginning, she says. Sonny agrees to go with her, but Jason leaves, because he has work to do.

Carly comes out of hiding after Sonny and Hannah leave. Jason takes her to a room in a seedy hotel or boardinghouse just across from Pier 17. He's there to watch the FBI bust. He explains the setup to a skeptical Carly, who insists that Sonny doesn't really want to let Hannah go. The room reminds Carly of Jason's old room at Jake's. They reminisce about when they were lovers. Jason says life was easier then, because he didn't have to second-guess everything Sonny did. He just did what Sonny told him to do and waited for Carly to come by (for sex) or Robin to come teach him things. Carly says she knew from their first night together that he was the only one who would ever know her for who she really is.

Bobbie and Roy talk at Kelly's about how Roy survived 20 years in prison. Jerry walks in on them (after meeting Sorel on the docks to get another money-laundering job), so they pretend they were talking about how to deal with Luke. Bobbie and Jerry go home; Jerry finds Lucas's pet turtle and tells Bobbie how much she's changed his life. Later he wakes up to find Bobbie gone from bed; she's sitting in the dark crying.

Alexis is getting ready to go to Greece to get the original copy of Mikko's will. She's doing it to get the money, she says, much to Jax's consternation. He doesn't want her getting hurt. He calls Ned and Chloe over so they can dissuade Alexis from making the trip. Instead, Chloe supports it. Alexis suddenly realizes that she can't go, since she has to go with Stefan to recant his confession. Jax volunteers to go alone. Later, while he's reading on his private jet, the "flight attendant" surprises him--it's Chloe (of course).

Stefan and Helena exchange words as he's about to take the launch back to Wyndemere. After Stefan leaves, Helena calls someone. We only hear her side of the conversation. She tells the person that she can't make her planned trip to Greece, so this person has to "track down the relevant documents and destroy them and anyone who knows they exist."

Nicholas pressures a wary Elizabeth into agreeing to go out to a new coffee shop with him. Before she agrees to go, he explains that it's not a date, he's already stepped over the line once, they're just friends, etc. He acts pretty desperate.

In the closing scene, Carly and Jason are discussing the night she got pregnant. She asks him if he ever thinks of what would have happened if he had been there instead of AJ; he says he doesn't. She says she does and that in her heart, he's Michael's father. Just then the FBI agents storm the pier and begin making arrests. The last image of the show is an FBI agent arresting Roy, who was supposed to be at Sonny's warehouse.
