At his penthouse, Jax surprises Chloe with an elaborate birthday party for Brooke Lynn. Chloe misses Brooke Lynn and is touched by Jax's efforts. Chloe feels silly for being upset that she was left out of the birthday celebration. Jax thinks her feelings are understandable. Jax blindfolds Chloe for a game of Pin the Tail on the Moose and they wind up kissing. Jax gives Chloe a gift - a coat. They do more kissing. As Chloe is lying on the couch with Jax bending over her, kissing her, Jerry walks in and sees them. They look up and see him staring at them.
Nikolas comes into Kelly's looking for Liz. Laura comes in. She wants Nikolas to talk with her. He has ignored her phone messages. They go to a table. Nikolas can't get over his father killing his fiancee. Sonny and Hannah enter. He wants to take her shopping to thank her for making an evening with Mike bearable. She declines, saying she has a lot of things to do. Outside, Felicia sees Faison, who wants to speak with her. She warns him to back off. She knows what he's trying to do. She thinks he'll stalk her to make Mac lose control. She leaves. Inside, Laura tries to convince Nik that Katherine's death was an accident. Why would his father kill a woman he despised in a public way? He acted impulsively. He pushed her. Nik insists that Stefan never acts impulsively. Laura tries to explain how a parent might lose perspective when they feel their child has been threatened. She begs him to keep an open mind. She kisses him, tells him she loves him, and leaves.
Liz is on the docks finishing a painting. When Jason arrives, she shows him her picture. She tried to capture "the wind" on canvas. Jason says it's good but Liz can tell from his reaction that he isn't impressed. Jason explains that she shouldn't go by his opinion. He isn't like other people since his accident. He asks if she knows about that. She says Emily told her. As she's trying to explain the painting to Jason, Nik comes along and watches them together. When it becomes obvious that Liz and Jason are bonding, Nik leaves. Liz wants Jason to hang the picture in his place after she puts on the finishing touches. Later, Nik meets up with Liz at Kelly's and tells her that he saw her with Jason earlier. He wants to know what Jason was telling her.
At the coffee warehouse, someone asks Roy to deliver to the blues club, but he says he doesn't know where it is. He flashes back to twenty years ago when Luke called him and asked him to get a gun. He also recalls shooting someone and then getting shot himself. We see the flashback again of Bobbie kneeling over him and Luke pulling her away to get into a car. Later, Jason arrives later than Sonny expected. Sonny teases him about his being late, since he is always on time. Sonny starts to pry about where Jason was, but Jason is evasive. This, of course, makes Sonny even more curious. As they talk, Benny walks into the warehouse, sees Sonny and Jason together and stops in his footsteps when Jason gives him a look. Jason tells Sonny that he doesn't think he'll be going to the meeting today. Sonny asks if it is because he was joking with him. He says he's just in a good mood. Hannah has made him happy. Jason looks sad. When Sonny leaves, Benny comes over to Jason. He got a trace on Hannah's gun.
Luke and Bobbie are in his office at the blues club. He talks to Claude on the phone and tells him to pick up the coffee himself. Luke jokes with Bobbie about calling off her wedding to Jerry. She measures him for a tuxedo. Bobbie leaves. When Felicia arrives, she is still frazzled from her run-in with Faison. She asks Luke to remain calm and tells him that Faison is stalking her again. Faison hasn't threatened her nor has he asked about the diamonds, but he does scare her. He probably wants her to run to Mac. Luke, with a smug, satisfied grin on his face, points out that instead she came running to him. When Luke becomes emotional and wants to go after Faison, Felicia tries to calm him down. She just wanted to vent. She didn't want him to react heatedly. They hug and Luke seems to enjoy it a little too much.
At the FBI office, Hannah explains to Larkin and her boss that she has nothing new to report and she thinks these meetings are counterproductive. Her boss tells her she's off the case. She pleads with them, pointing out that it would take a new agent a long time to get as far as she has. They let her back on the case, but only for a short while and she must produce more information for the FBI. She leaves the office and a look of anguish comes over her. Later that day, Sonny picks up Hannah at Kelly's for their dinner date. But before they leave Kelly's, they do some kissing for a change.
Carly visits Bobbie at Kelly's. She tells Bobbie how much it meant to her that she supported her marriage to AJ, even though she had her objections. Carly has decided she will do the same for her mother, even though she doesn't like Jerry. Carly shows Bobbie sketches of wedding gowns and asks her to choose one. Carly will pay for it. Bobbie is amazed and objects to her daughter's generous offer, but Carly reminds her that she can afford to pay now. As they are having a touching mother-daughter moment, Roy enters and watches. When Carly and Bobbie hug each other, Roy smiles and starts to walk toward them. When he hears them talking about a wedding, he turns around and leaves. Later, Roy is on the docks. He flashes back to kissing Bobbie and giving her an engagement ring. Bobbie walks up behind him and says "excuse me." When he turns around, Bobbie says "Roy, it's you." They rush into each other's arms, hugging at first and eventually kissing. Then Bobbie pushes him away and slugs him.
Carly meets Jason at the warehouse. He got the trace back on Hannah's gun. It's registered to the FBI.
In his office, Faison speaks to someone on the phone and asks how Lucky is doing. He looks at a photo of Lucky, calls him his most valuable asset, locks the picture in a drawer and locks the office as he leaves. Luke climbs through a window and breaks into the office. He tries to open the locked drawers.
