General Hospital Update for Friday, 15-Oct-1999

Chloe joins Jax at the bar of the PC Grille. They talk about Ned and Alexis wanting to have an early dinner so they can spend the evening alone together. Chloe thinks Jax can use her relationship with Ned to help Jerry. Alexis arrives, complaining that she's hungry. The three discuss telling Ned about Jerry. Jerry comes in and asks Jax why he looks so serious. Chloe tells Jerry that he should leave them alone. Jax and Alexis are advising her what to buy for Bobbie and him. Jerry and Jax go off to speak privately. Jerry wants to know if Jax has told his friends about Jerry's "alleged crimes." Jax is evasive and leads Jerry to believe that he doesn't believe what Sonny told him.

At the Q's, Ned wants to leave, but Emily detains him with questions about employment at L&B. He assumes she is looking for a job for herself. She says it's for Juan. Juan comes in with his resume. Emily pleads with Ned. He says OK but only if Mr. Santiago says Juan can stay in Port Charles. When they are alone, Emily calls Monica and Alan to come home. Monica can't be reached but Alan is on his way home from the clinic. Emily and Juan talk about how they are alike. Both of them lost their mothers when they were young. Juan puts on some music and they cling to each other while they dance. Emily weeps. They hear Monica calling Emily's name. They kiss before Emily calls to Monica that they are in the den. Monica and Alan come in. They are not surprised to see Juan. Alan says that they knew Emily was sneaking out to see him. Emily tells them that Juan was on the third floor all along. She tells Monica and Alan that she loves them and wants them to listen to her this time. It's really important to her. She tells Monica and Alan how much Juan means to her. She won't give him up. She wants them to accept that. Alan starts to call Mr. Santiago, but Emily tells him that Taggert and Mr. Santiago are on their way. Monica explains that there is more to the situation than the way they feel about Juan. Alan reminds Emily that she has lied repeatedly. Mr. Santiago and Taggert arrive. Juan and his father embrace. Mr. Santiago wants to take Juan back to Puerto Rico tonight. Juan and Emily look sad.

On the docks, Roy has a flashback to when Bobbie is with him after he is shot and Luke takes her away. Tony comes walking along. Roy asks him directions to the coffee warehouse. After Tony gives him directions, he just has to throw in that the business is run by criminals.

Outside Kelly's, Sonny and Hannah do some hugging and kissing for a change. Tony sees them before he goes inside. Bobbie is on the phone, making plans for her wedding dinner. Tony reminds her that yesterday would have been their tenth anniversary. Outside, Hannah tells Sonny that she likes thinking about a future with him. They plan to have dinner together later and they do some more kissing. Sonny leaves and Hannah goes inside. Tony tells Bobbie he'd like to have Lucas with him while she is on her honeymoon. He hopes she doesn't still think that he would try to run away with Lucas. Bobbie reminds him that she lifted the restraining order. They are both glad that they can be friends again.

Carly is at the coffee warehouse. She looks at her new diamond ring and smiles. When Jason joins her, she tells him how much she loves her new ring. AJ hasn't noticed any difference, but she can see how much more beautiful it is. She shows Jason the picture of Professor Bradburn. When she tells him about her trip to San Diego, Jason flips out. Carly is touched because she interprets his being upset as being concern for her. She tells Jason that she is sure that Hannah's ex is not Prof. Bradburn. She even talked to Hannah's ex herself. She says she's glad Jason is on her side now. He says he's not on anybody's side. Jason wonders why Hannah would lie. Carly says probably for sex or money, but why would a nymphomaniac need a gun? They compare stories on what Hannah said about the night Sonny was arrested. They agree that she must have lied about several things. Carly leaves. Roy enters and asks Jason about a job. He tells Jason that Jake recommended he try the warehouse. She is willing to provide references if needed. Sonny comes in. Roy tells them that he was just released from prison. He served twenty years for attempted murder. Sonny wants to know who he tried to kill. Was it a woman or child? Roy says it was an adult man. Sonny explains that the warehouse employees are expected to keep their mouths shut about some things they see. Roy understands. Jason and Sonny hire him. He'll start that day. Later, someone tells Roy to deliver some coffee to the PC Grille.

Bobbie joins Jerry at the PC Grille. Ned arrives and can tell that Jax, Alexis, and Chloe are keeping something from him. They tell Ned about Jerry laundering money. Ned says that Jax shouldn't worry. When Jerry sinks this time, he won't take Jax with him. Jax can't believe Ned's attitude. What happened to caring about your family, even if you don't approve of what they're doing? Ned smirks. Alexis smiles. Ned welcomes Jax to the "Gatekeepers' Club." Ned says that the one thing that could save Jerry from the feds is cash. He offers to liquidate his assets. Chloe offers to sell her company. Jax is touched and appreciative but won't let them do it. Alexis says they would need more cash. They would need a fortune - like the Cassadine fortune. Jerry gives Bobbie a gift - expensive jewelry. Roy comes in to deliver coffee. He waits while someone unlocks the service entrance. He watches Jerry kissing Bobbie.

Hannah meets Larkin on the docks and asks him why Carly was mugged. He won't admit that he had anything to do with it. Hannah gives Larkin a surveillance log. She drops a small notebook next to the bench. She tells Larkin that she hopes that they can use something in the log. Later, Carly sees Hannah leaving Kelly's. She goes inside and gets the keys from the cash register. She goes upstairs to Hannah's room. Before she goes in, she says "sorry Mom." Downstairs, Tammy asks Sonny what she can get for him. He says he's there to pick up Hannah. But Hannah has gone back to the docks where she finds what she had dropped before. When Jason sees her and asks what she's looking for, she answers that it is her checkbook. Hannah apologizes for losing her temper with him. She says that Carly has that affect on her, but she knows Carly has a different affect on him. He asks Hannah some questions about the night she was supposed to move in with Sonny. She says things he knows are lies. Jason's suspicions are confirmed. While Carly tries to pick the lock on Hannah's strong box, Tammy and Sonny gab downstairs. Mike walks in and remarks that Sonny and Tammy are his two favorite people. Sonny doesn't crack a smile and turns to go upstairs. Carly opens the box. We see a gun and a cell phone.
