General Hospital Update for Thursday, 14-Oct-1999

Taggert finds Juan and Emily in the boxcar, and Emily tries to explain their way out of the situation. Taggert tells them that Juan is considered a runaway and that he and Emily are about to make their first appearance at juvenile hall. He tells them he has no choice but to take them in. (Finally, a responsible adult!!)

Felicia tries to get Luke to tell her where Faison's diamonds are hidden. He tells her that the location is so perfect that it's poetic. After making her guess for a while, he proceeds to tell her that he hid the diamonds on Helena's yacht.

Helena calls Ari and he tells how her worried he's been and that Stefan won't let him visit. Helena complains that Katherine couldn't even find an original way to die!! (LMAO!) Helena tells Ari that she has to go, pauses, and reminds him how much she has appreciated his loyalty to her and promises him an appropriate reward. She slips out of the room when she hears Stefan coming.

Stefan reminds Ms. Lansbury that Mac might want to question her, and she promises him that she won't say anything about the blond she saw on the parapet. Laura arrives and she and Stefan discuss why Mac wants to question them at Windemere. They discuss the stories they will tell Mac.

Nikolas and Liz talk outside of Kelly's. He tells her that Laura tried to convince him that Katherine was faking her pregnancy. Liz confesses that it wouldn't surprise her if Katherine was faking.

Jason brings Carly to their Penthouse and she tells him that she was afraid he meant the Quartermaines when he said "home". She asks him not to be mad at her and again asks him to listen to her about Hannah as he examines her cuts and bruises. Jason tells her that her doesn't care about Hannah right now. He reminds her that she's hurt and that she could have been killed, and tells her to let him take care of her. As she nervously rambles on about nothing, he playfully tells her to "SHUT UP".

Carly tells Jason that she's going to tell AJ she fell outside of Kelly's. He asks her why she can't just tell the truth, and she reminds him how mad AJ would be if he found out how she got mugged, not to mention the fact that she called him instead of AJ. As Jason tends to her cuts, she tries to think up a story to tell AJ. She suggests that she was walking on the docks looking at A.J.'s crane (*snicker*), tripped and dropped her purse in the water that was so cold it made her hands shrink and her rings fell off!!! Jason just chuckles at this, until she adds that it might be more believable if she gives AJ a big,fat kiss! Jason gets up and goes out into the hallway for a second, leaving Carly in the penthouse. She notices that he kept the picture of their family, and is overcome with emotion. When Jason comes back in, he sees her with the picture. He assures her that he's fine, but she breaks down in tears and tells him that she misses him. He pulls her into a hug, then suggests that she take a shower. She vows to use at least three towels and demands that Jason leave them on the floor so the maid will earn her salary!

Luke tells Felicia that he originally hid the diamonds in Sonny's warehouse, and she is shocked that he actually went through with it! He tells her that Jason found them, and she wonders if he wanted Sonny to get arrested. He tells her no,but tells her that he would like a Cassadine to get arrested and that's why he hid them on Helena's yacht. They start to plan how they could get on the yacht to get the diamonds back. Luke pulls out some disguises and declares the return of Hiriam and Orphie Goodlove!

Laura tells Stefan that his life is worth more than Katherine's and that he can't go to prison for a crime he didn't commit. He reminds her that the only person that saw him argue with Katherine was Helena, and she ain't talking!! (LOL) He promises her that if they don't admit anything, they can all go on with their lives. But, as he hugs her, his face looks worried.

Nikolas is shocked that Liz thinks his baby may be a lie, but she asks him if Katherine ever gave him proof. He replies that it was too early in the pregnancy. (Huh? So, she could get proof, but it was too early for him to see any?) He reminds her that his parents are the ones with the history of lying to him, not Katherine. Nikolas tells Liz how bad it feels that Katherine was murdered by someone who was trying to protect him.

Juan reminds Taggert how angry the Quartermaines will be when they find out he arrested their daughter. Taggert tells him that he's arrested all of them at one time or another. Emily tries to guilt Taggert into letting them go, but he holds his ground. Juan tells Taggert he's trying to prove he's responsible, and Taggert is amused that he thinks running away will accomplish that. Taggert tells Juan he is willing to compromise and let Juan turn himself in to avoid being arrested.

Luke and Felicia arrive to Helena's yacht in dress clothes. Luke tells Felicia to keep Ari occupied while he goes to find the diamonds. When Ari arrives, Felicia identifies herself as Orphie Goodlove and Luke as her driver Hiriam.

Mac arrives at Windemere to meet with Stefan, Laura, and their attorney. Stefan and Laura are surprised to see that Nikolas is a suspect in Katherine's murder.

Sonny and Hannah come to see Jason. Hannah tells Jason that his is the only cooking that Sonny will eat, which he denies. Hannah asks Jason if they can cook together, with him making the entree and her making dessert. Sonny elaborates, saying that Hannah hopes they will bond in the kitchen and that he will stop acting like a slab of marble whenever she's around! He tells them that he's in the middle of something as Carly comes downstairs dressed in one of his shirts, soaking wet. Sonny just laughs and Hannah looks pained.

Carly tries to kiss Jason on the cheek and pretend that they were..ahem, involved, but Jason stops her and tells the visitors that Carly got mugged. Sonny is concerned and asks if she was frightened. She pointedly reminds him that she's been frightened worse, as Hannah looks on incredulously. She is shocked that Sonny and Jason believe Carly's story and implies that Carly made the whole thing up.

Juan and Emily try to talk Taggert out of turning them in, as he reminds Juan how lucky he is to have a father who loves him. Emily suggests that they will go see Mr. Santiago on their own, but Taggert says that they are just trying to stall him. Juan assures Taggert that he isn't looking for anything from Sonny and that he doesn't want to be around him, as Emily begs Taggert to give them a chance. He gives them until the next morning to turn themselves in to their parents.

Mac explains why Nikolas is a suspect, then reveals that an autopsy confirmed that Katheribe wasn't pregnant. Nikolas refuses to believe that she lied to him.

Luke and Felicia make up a story about wanting to see if the yacht was for sale to stall Ari. Felicia asks Ari to take her on a tour of the ship, and he agrees.

Hannah tries to say that Carly made the story up, that she would do anything to bring Jason running. Sonny is shocked that she would say that, but Carly and Jason just ignore her. Jason tells her that it has nothing to do with her, but she says it does because Carly is trying to turn them against her.Sonny tries to get Hannah to be quiet, and when she won't, he grabs Hannah and leaves. Jason tells Carly that he believes Hannah is hiding something.

Nik accuses Mac of being paid off by his parents, but Mac confirms that Katherine wasn't carrying a child.

Luke comes back and tells Felicia that he got the diamonds. When they can't find Ari, Felicia begins to worry that they will be found out, but Luke assures her that it won't be a problem. He then points out Ari's dead body to Felicia, and they see that he was stabbed in the back with an ice pick.

Laura, against the lawyer's wishes, tells Mac how she found out about Katherine. Mac begins to question Laura, but is stopped by the attorney. He tells them they will all face formal interrogations and leaves. Nikolas is distraught and rejects his parents' attempts to comfort him, and leaves. Stefan begs Laura to trust him and assures him that he will protect Nikolas.

Luke refuses to let Felicia call the police, and assures her that they will be caught if they do.

Johnny comes back from an errand Jason sent him on with a small bag. Jason presents Carly with a set of pearls to replace the ones that were stolen so that AJ won't be suspicious and fastens them for her. She jokingly asks if he has a couple of rings too, and is stunned when he pulls a small box out of the bag. She opens it to find exact replicas of the rings that were stolen. Jason gazes into Carly's eyes and slides each ring slowly onto her finger, as she tries to stay compsosed. After a moment of silence, she remarks about how she never thinks Jason listens to her. He tells her playfully that he has to because she won't go away, but confides that he's starting to be suspicious of Hannah. But, he tells her that he will get proof before he tells Sonny, and she tells him that she has to show him something important.

Hannah tries to explain her actions to Sonny, and confesses that she always feels she has defend herself against Carly. Sonny assures her that Carly will never be able to turn him against her.
