General Hospital Update for Friday, 24-Sep-1999

Felicia is saying goodbye to Mac at the airport. He's going to miss her, but now he'll have a chance to spend more time on Faison's case. Felicia urges him to go back to the office. Luke watches from afar. Felicia tells Mac not to let Faison get to him. Mac promises to play by the law. They kiss goodbye. Luke comes to sit by Felicia. Felicia tells Luke she feels guilty for lying to Mac. Luke suggests they call the whole thing off. Felicia wants to continue with their plan for Mac's sake. Luke states that he and Felicia are both lethal when it comes to protecting their loved ones. He is determined to bring back his diamonds. Luke gives Felicia her fake indentifications. They go to board the plane as Faison watches from around a corner.

At the Q's, Emily sneaks Juan in through the front door. When they hear Alan getting closer, Emily pushes Juan into the living room. As Emily tries to convince Alan not to go into the living room, Reginald is with Juan, teasing him about wanting to be invisible. Emily keeps stalling Alan from going into the living room. He wants to find a file he needs. Reginald comes out and says that Alan can't go in now but eventually he lets him in. Alan gets his file and leaves. Reginald shows Emily that he hid Juan behind the sofa. Emily asks Reginald for advice on where to hide Juan. He suggests a room where nobody has gone for years.

Elizabeth meets Laura outside Kelly's and tells her how she feels about the Nik/Katherine situation. She thinks someone needs to intervene and she is hoping that someone will be Laura. Liz tells Laura about how she walked in on Katherine and Nik in Kat's office. She knows that Katherine engineered that one. She is still suspicious about Katherine's pregnancy. She gets Laura to thinking - what if Katherine isn't pregnant? This is the oldest trick in the book - getting an honorable man to marry you for a baby that doesn't exist. Liz is amazed that anyone could be tricked in this day and age of sonograms and other technology. Liz says that Katherine seems to always get away with everything. Laura says "if she's lying, I will deal with her."

At the Q's, AJ tells Carly how fed up he is with the way Edward treats him. All he hears is how Ned's reports were better. He wants to take Carly away to a spa, but Carly doesn't want to leave Michael. When AJ suggests they bring the baby, Carly uses Bobbie's upcoming wedding as an excuse to stay home. AJ complains that she hasn't been there for him in bed recently. She tells him it's not romantic to demand something from her and gives him attitude.

Nik goes to visit Katherine. She says she has been unable to sleep trying to make this decision. Nik expresses concern for the baby. Katherine accepts his proposal. Nik wants to get married at Wyndemere but Katherine wants a courthouse or Las Vegas. Katherine doesn't think anyone would attend but Nik says his family will. When he leaves, Katherine opens a bottle of champagne and toasts herself. Later, Katherine has finished her champagne and there is someone at her door. She hides the bottle and the glass. It's Laura, who comes right to the point and says "there is no baby, is there?"

Outside Kelly's, Chloe, Ned and Brooke Lynn have finished breakfast before Brooke Lynn has to go home. Jax is there and is obviously jealous of their family bonds. Ned inquires about Alexis. Jax replies that she is very busy. Ned and Chloe go to the Q mansion. They discuss Jax and Alexis. Chloe thinks it would be normal for Alexis to find Jax attractive. Ned says he wonders what any woman would find attractive about Jax. Chloe gives him a big grin. She thinks he doesn't have anything to worry about with Alexis. She thinks Ned is paranoid. Alexis and Jax arrive. Alexis wants to say goodbye to Brooke Lynn, but she is upstairs with Lila and Edward. Ned and Alexis go into the living room and do some serious smooching while Jax and Chloe stay in the foyer and talk about what they will do while Ned is out of town. Chloe wants to go riding with him. She jokes about getting stranded again. As Ned and Alexis are saying "I love you", Jax interrupts because Edward is coming with Brooke Lynn. Edward tells Brooke Lynn about Ned when he was a little boy. As he hugs her, his affection for her seems genuine. Ned and Chloe leave with Brooke Lynn. After Jax and Edward have a verbal tug-of-war, Jax and Alexis leave as Monica and Alan come home. They want to know why Edward called them to come home. He tells them that if they were better parents, he wouldn't have to tell them. He calls for Emily who appears at the top of the stairs. She asks what's wrong. Edward replies "do you want to tell them or should I?" Edward starts ranting about AJ, Jason and now Emily is miserable. AJ comes in and says all teenagers are miserable. Edward thinks it's awful that Brooke Lynn doesn't know her family better. He wants to save Emily and Brooke Lynn from being like the rest of the Q's. The five of them argue loudly. Juan comes to the top of the stairs and watches. The bell rings. Reginald reluctantly comes into the foyer. It's Letitia. Reginald faints into Edward's arms.

At Sonny's penthouse, he and Jason are talking money while Hannah listens from the stairs. When she comes downstairs, Sonny wants to make breakfast for her, but she tells him she must leave. Hannah says "this isn't working for me." She claims that everything is getting to her. She doesn't like always being watched. She thought she could accept his lifestyle but she was just fooling herself. Sonny says she's running scared from him. He promises he'll never hurt her. He kisses her, but she pulls away, saying she knows if she spends the night with him, she'll never leave. She says she loves him and leaves. Later, Johnny announces that Carly is there. Sonny says it's ok to let her in. He is preoccupied as he tells her to leave a message for Jason. She says she's there to tell him his girlfriend is pulling a number on him. It's just not her opinion. She has proof. Sonny asks about the proof. Carly says she caught Hannah with her ex in an alley. Sonny says Hannah told him about that. Did Carly hear what they were saying? Carly says no, but they were intimate and Hannah freaked when Carly caught them. Carly tells Sonny how she went into Hannah's room and found the gun and the locked box. Sonny is upset that Carly would do such a thing. What does she want? What kind of payback? Carly says she thought he ought to know about Hannah. Sonny wants to know how Carly blackmailed Hannah to leave him. Carly is surprised. She wanted *Sonny* to leave *Hannah*. He calls Carly a sick tramp. She starts yelling at him and gets in his face. He shoves her shoulder (or maybe it is her arm?) just as Jason enters and comes between them.

Hannah is on her cell phone calling the FBI. She says she needs a meeting NOW! Larkin meets her in an alley. She says "there has been a major development in the Corinthos case."
