General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 22-Sep-1999

Chloe invites Jax to lunch to ask him what's wrong. He tries to distract her by saying that his stock in kiwi is down and his favorite suit's at the cleaners. She tries to get an answer out of him but Alexis shows up to give him an update. Chloe leaves but watches them for a minute, wondering.

Alexis tells Jax that there is nothing to be done for Jerry if he is laundering money again. Jax confronts his father and his father tells him he's clean. Jax tells John about the 2 million in Jerry's account and John gets kind of mad. Jax goes over to confront Jerry.

He gets to the hospital and Bobbie is there kissing Jerry. Jerry is suggestinig they go mountain climbing and hang gliding for their honeymoon and Bobbie is protesting. "Honeymoons are about each other." Jax is about to ask about the money and Jerry asks him to be his best man. Jax doesn't have the heart to ask him about it. Alexis meets him in the hall and he tells her he just couldn't do it. Alexis says they'll find another way to get to the bottom of this.

Carly is at Kelly's and Tammy tells her to stay on that side of the counter because Hannah is her friend and if Carly ever breaks in her room again, she'll have to deal with Tammy. Bobbie comes out and Carly asks her to give her the key to Hannah's room. Bobbie laughs and asks if Carly thought she was bluffing before. They talk about how she wants to protect Sonny, blah blah and she's in a loveless marriage.

Carly leaves and meets up with Jason on the docks. She gives her spiel AGAIN for the millionth time (talk about beating a dead horse) how she wants to protect Sonny and Jason could break in and get that strongbox. He says he won't do it and it's no good warning someone off of someone they love. Everyone told him he was crazy to get involved with Carly, but he didn't listen. She gets in close and caresses his face saying, "We showed them didn't we?" and Chloe walks by, seeing them. They pretend it was about old schedules for Michael's daddy time and Carly asks her not to mention to A.J. that she saw them together.

Laura is back in town and confronts Nikolas about Katharine's pregnancy. The look on her face was priceless when he tells her that he's asked Katharine to marry him. She says she'll support him no matter what his decision, but does reiterate that Katharine is manipulating him. Laura meets up with Katharine outside of Kelly's and tells her if Nikolas can't get her out of his life she'll do it for him and Tammy overhears the threat.

Kat rubs it in to Liz that Nikolas has asked her to marry him. Liz confront Nikolas and he gets mad telling her she had no right to call Katharine dirt. Liz doesn't want him to ruin the chances of having the life Lucky will never have and he angrily says I never asked you to be my conscience. She walks away and says I thought I was being your friend.

Mike had gone to see Sonny and asks Jason if he would be happy to see him. They talk about Sonny and why Mike didn't come in when Sonny had locked himself in. Mike tells him why Sonny doesn't like to be around him because he saved his life from that car explosion. Jason says Sonny doesn't want to be dead all the time. Mike leaves saying he'll skip getting thrown out by Sonny today because that will give him something to look forward to.
