General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 1-Sep-1999

There was a very funny scene at the Q's where Edward asks, "where in tarnation. . ." and it gets asked what is tarnation and Alan pipes up and says he always thought of tarnation as a barren wasteland of tar and a nation and Edward says that's what happens when you're on drugs. Reginald gets the news that Letitia had to go to her sick mother in Florida and he does not take it well. Carly takes Michael to the park. A.J. joins her there later reassuring her that even E.L.Q. isn't as important as her and Michael. Jason is watching them from a distance.

A.J. takes Michael home for a nap and Carly goes to talk to Bobbie. They talk about her trip and how she thought about Jason all the time, but that's OK because she didn't hurt anybody. Bobbie tells her about her 'Jason' named Roy DiLucca (who is coming back as A Martinez). Carly asks what happened to him and Bobbie tells her that he died. Mac tells Bobbie that Felicia went to Texas with the girls because Faison was talking to Maxie.

Liz and Jason end up talking again and he tells her what it was like to be a father. She tells him she would like to see him with his son but he says he doesn't see him anymore. Liz says well at least you can hear about him and see him from a distance and maybe someday, you know.

Stefan asks Liz about what's bothering Nik. She doesn't tell him anything. Nikolas says he'll confide in Stefan later, but not now. He also tells Stefan the real reason Laura left town was because of Faison. Stefan gets upset at the perceived threat against Laura.

Katharine thinks she is definitely pregnant, but the tests show that she's not. She freaks out at the doctor demanding that every test be done so they can find out what went wrong and try again as soon as possible. She HAS to be pregnant right away.

Jason tells Juan Emily's message and Juan asks if he can write her, Jason says probably not. They talk about the wrong impression Monica has of him, and that Emily can only call Jason. Juan asks him to tell her that he'll be waiting for her.

Mike tells Juan that he only sees what Sonny wants him to see--that Sonny would never have left Lily because of Mike leaving Sonny's mother. Juan just says, so you're both screwed up, and Mike leaves with, you shouldn't hate the man your mother loved most in this world besides you.

Faison is waving the antidote in Helena's face, taunting her with it. Should they try it? But he doesn't know what's in it and it could kill her! He doesn't do it and says he wants to trick the chemist into telling him what's in it. After listening to Stefan talk to Helena, he makes the comment to her, "what did you do to him as a kid, not take him to soccer practice?" I love this guy's lines! Very funny.
