General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 24-Aug-1999

Faison tells Helena not to worry but she won't be seeing him for a while. He leaves. Tony examines Helena and tells Stefan she should be in a facility where she can receive better care. Stefan doesn't like the idea. After Tony leaves, Stefan tells Helena that maybe he'll send her to a center in Texas. As Faison listens on headphones to Stefan talking to Helena, Stefan tells Helena that maybe he'll bring her to Zurich to be cared for. He thinks that would be ironic since that is where the antidote is for her condition. Faison picks up a phone and makes plans to go to Zurich.

Chloe is still sleeping. She is dreaming of dancing with Jax at the Nurses' Ball. She wakes up in Jax's arms. Later, alone, she tries to walk, but falls. Jax sees her fall and says he'll have to carry her to the road. She wants to try to lean on him and limp, but he says it's three miles of rough terrain. He feels guilty for having no phone on him. While they share water and a chocolate bar, Jax tells Chloe about his last days with Brenda. Chloe jumps on Jax's back and off they go.

Ned and Alexis meet outside Kelly's to discuss if either of them has information on the whereabouts of their respective spouses. Alexis is reluctant to ask Jerry if he knows where Jax is. She doesn't want to make him suspicious. Alexis tells Ned how much the Jacks family has embraced her. Jane sends her recipes. John sends her jokes. She doesn't want them to find out her marriage isn't real. Alexis' cell phone rings. After, she tells Ned they're leaving. He asks "where?" She answers "horseback riding." Ned and Alexis go to Jax's stables. One of the grooms tells them that the horses returned without Jax and Chloe. Ned blames Jax for the whole mess. Alexis defends Jax and they start arguing. When Jax walks in with Chloe still on his back, Ned gets really mad at Jax. He thinks Jax was foolish to not bring a phone with him. He reminds Jax and Chloe that if there had been a search, Gertrude could have found out everything.

At the Q's, Edward and Gertrude discuss a plan to trap Ned and Chloe. Edward says he loves Chloe, but he doesn't want to see Ned get his hands on Chloe's company to help build L&B. Later in the day, Gertrude returns and tells Edward that he has wonderful spies. They just told her that neither Jax nor Chloe returned home last night. Edward wonders where Jax has taken Chloe.

At Kelly's, Bobbie is amazed that Felicia hasn't told Mac about Faison's connection with Luke. Nik is looking through the want ads for a job. He tells Liz he wants to set a good example for his child. Liz still isn't convinced that Katherine is pregnant, but Nik is starting to believe it. Felicia explains to Bobbie why she can't tell Mac about Faison and Luke. She fears that they are probably involved in something illegal and Faison may be trying to set up Luke. Bobbie asks Felicia if she realizes she's withholding information from Mac to protect Luke. Nik tells Liz that if Katherine is pregnant, he wants to be part of his child's life because he knows what it's like to be raised by only one parent. Liz warns him that even if Katherine is really pregnant, the baby could be someone else's. Bobbie and Felicia continue to discuss the pros and cons of telling Mac about the Luke/Faison connection. Bobbie thinks Luke may realize that Krieg is really Faison and have his own plan. With Felicia being so concerned about Luke, Bobbie suggests that she may have her own obsession. Bobbie tells Felicia that Luke cannot be "saved." He loves the danger. Felicia has called Sonny but hasn't been able to talk to him. She decides to visit him and as she's leaving, she sees Faison outside. He says he has come to say goodbye. She asks what he has done with Luke. He leaves.

In her doctor's office, Katherine tells him that she has discussed it with the father and they have decided she should get pregnant as soon as possible. Katherine expects everything to be kept confidential at the price she's paying. She doesn't want her name on any records. Later, the doctor tells Katherine she should be pregnant in a couple of days.

On the docks, Liz sketches flames, then crosses it all out, rips it up and throws it. Taggert comes along and teases her about littering. He admires her artwork, and tells her how he spraypainted grafitti in his youth. Liz is amused and tells him that she wishes Lucky had known that about him. She tells Taggert that Lucky really liked him toward the end. Liz is excited about studying art at PCU in the fall.
