General Hospital Update for Friday, 20-Aug-1999

Jax and Chloe are having this incredibly romantic picnic in the woods. They talk about their dreams and childhood. Jax tells her how Jerry used to leave him in the wilds of Alaska with water and a field guide for which plants are edible. Of course, those experiences make him a great person to get lost with! (I wouldn't mind that myself.) Chloe talks about the color of the sky and how it is impossible to copy. She also mentions that she dreams in blue. (What?) They start to head back because Chloe is supposed to be at a business meeting with Ned, and she takes off for the horses. Jax tells her to wait and he quickly cleans up, but it's too late. He hears Chloe scream and she's unconscious on the ground.

Hannah gives Mike a tube of toothpaste (is that a hint or what?) and tells him that she's been invited to Sonny's island casino. Sonny informs Jason that he's leaving for a week. Jason freaks a little asking him to take her somewhere else because that is a secure hideaway. Sonny says no, he wants to give her something of himself. Hannah comes in all happy and they leave. Mike comes by later and wants to page Sonny at the airport to tell him goodbye and congratulations. He's so happy that Sonny has found someone again. Jason reminds him of how things really are for Sonny and Mike leaves telling him he's not going to wreck his day. They show Sonny and Hannah at the window admiring the sunset on the island.

Stefan informs Helena he is now her guardian and Laura breaks in to tell him that she's leaving. He immediately assumes it's for good. They talk about her leaving to go to the Upper Banks for her mother's evaluation and that she'll only be gone for a month. She wants him to call her if anything happens with Nikolas because she doesn't want any of her children going through a crisis without her. He promises to do that and told her that he was with Nikolas riding and Katharine showed up. He tried to drive her off but Nikolas prevented him. He surprises Laura and tells her that Nikolas confided in him that he misses Lucky.

Felicia is asking Bobbie if she knows of any way to contact Luke. She thinks Faison will try to use Laura to get to the best friend of Robert and Anna--Luke. Bobbie doesn't know how to reach him. Mac catches Faison eavesdropping on Felicia and pins him against the wall. He gives Faison the riot act and lets him go. Faison goes to Helena's and tells her he overheard her son saying antidote and he's going to find it for her.

Nikolas finds Liz drawing and she seems kind of withdrawn. He asks her if she's upset with him because of knowing that Katharine is pregnant with his child. She says no and they talk about it. He tells her he went to the boxcar to talk to Lucky, she asks if it helped. They talk some more and then it cuts to Katharine on the phone talking about medical records and needing to get pregnant as soon as possible. (Surprise, she must not be really pregnant after all!)
