General Hospital Update for Thursday, 12-Aug-1999

Outside Sonny's penthouse, AJ tells Jason that Carly is *his* wife and warns him to stay away from her. Inside, Sonny looks through his mail. He takes a photo out of an envelope. It is Sonny and Hannah. He smiles. On the back is written: to remember me by. Carly says she's there to tell Jason about Michael being christened. Jason and AJ quarrel and go after each other physically. Jason lets go of AJ, tells him to go home to his family and be glad he's alive. Jason goes back into the penthouse and tells Sonny what happened with AJ. Jason now realizes all the times he could have turned things around with Carly. Sonny says he broke things off for all the right reasons.

Nikolas goes to visit Katherine. He wants proof that she is pregnant. She reminds him that she expects nothing from him, so why would he insist on knowing about her pregnancy. He leaves.

Hannah comes into Kelly's and is thrilled to see Juan out of the hospital. Bobbie introduces her to Laura who explains about the Outreach program. Laura tells Liz she wants to speak to her about Nikolas. First, she invites Liz over to have dinner with Lulu. Liz accepts. Laura wants to have Nikolas there also. She thinks Lulu and Liz can cheer him up. Neither Liz nor Laura have a clue to why Nik has been acting differently. Juan pumps Hannah for information on Sonny. Does Sonny know Juan is ok? Does he ask about him? Hannah says she's the wrong one to be asking. She doesn't understand him. Maybe Sonny's father knows him well. Juan asks who Sonny's father is, but Hannah won't tell him. Liz and Laura don't understand why Katherine would come to Kelly's unless it's to find Nik and bug Liz. Liz says she stiffs her on tips. Laura tells her to spill something on Katherine the next time. Liz giggles, but Laura says she really wants her to do it. Laura will take full responsibility. Bobbie tells Juan she has a few rules he must follow, if he's going to remain at Kelly's. No scams, no pickpocketing. He can't work for Sonny or any of his enemies. He also must follow Ruby's #1 rule - no overnight visitors. He chokes on his fries. Katherine comes along and tells Liz what she wants to order. Hannah brings Juan some things he'll need for his room. Tony comes in and Juan apologizes for faking his injury. He also admits to taking $20 from Tony the first time they met. He gives the money back to Tony. Liz overhears Katherine on her cell phone saying she is in the beginning of her pregnancy and she and the baby's father want to do everything right for the baby. Liz is stunned. Later, Liz is alone at a table outside. Nik comes along. He says he has to tell her something. Liz braces herself. He has to break their movie date. Liz goes back to cleaning off tables and looks very sad. Bobbie tells Tony that she sees some of the old Tony returning. She asks if he'd like to see Lucas again.

Felicia asks Faison how he knew it was her without looking first. He answers that he recognized her footsteps because he's listened to them so many times. He's been following her and watching her for months. He makes her squirm by mentioning her girls by name, how he watched them in the park and how much Maxie looks like her. Felicia says she hasn't felt watched for all these weeks. She thinks Faison just said these things to get a response from her. When she talks about things that happened years ago...Faison kidnapping her and Anna and Robert's deaths...Faison claims he's innocent. That is why he wanted to speak with her. Felicia says that he is wasting her time, that she thought he had something to tell her. He insists he does. He tells her he came back to town for her. Felicia remains calm and tells him she knows he used Anna to get to Robert and now he's trying to use her to get to Robert's brother. She leaves. Faison reaches out of his cell and picks up a small object - Felicia's earring? (couldn't tell for sure) In Mac's office, he is upset about the mind games Faison is playing. Felicia begs him to remain calm. Faison is after him, not Felicia.

Carly is in her bedroom, mad and sulking. AJ comes in and wants to talk about what happened. Why couldn't Carly have just called Jason if she just wanted him to know about the christening? He says he knows it was Jason she was with during Ned's wedding. She tells him it wasn't Jason. He forbids her to see Jason again. She claims she'll be unable to avoid him. He tells her that she shouldn't go to Jason's home again. He says his whole life everyone has loved Jason more than him - his parents, his sister, and now his son. He doesn't want Carly to care more for Jason. She says he's her husband and they embrace.

Katherine is in her room, sitting on her bed, rubbing her belly and humming lullabies.

Jason gets on his bike and rides away.

Sonny calls Kelly's and asks for Hannah. He takes a deep breath. When Hannah gets on, he freezes and doesn't speak. Hannah asks if it's him. He finally speaks and asks her to come over the next day.

Mac tells Felicia that the evidence that would convict Faison has disappeared. It was in South America. They vow to make him pay for Robert and Anna's deaths. In his cell, Faison plays with the earring. (or whatever it is)
