General Hospital Update for Friday, 6-Aug-1999

Elizabeth was waiting for Nikolas outside his house and they talked for a minute about Emily being grounded and how Liz missed her going to the thrift shops with her to tell her what good taste she has. She then gives Nikolas a gift--it's a painting she's done of Lesley Lu sitting in a garden. Nikolas loves it (of course). Laura comes along and talks to Nikolas about his feelings for Elizabeth. He assures her that they are just friends. He knows he'll always be Lucky's brother to her. Shift to Katharine's penthouse and she's waiting to read the results of a pregnancy test! (Yikes!)

Later Katharine barges into Nikolas's home and says that she knows he doesn't want to talk to her and surprise! she's pregnant.

Alexis and Jax are on the phone making business deals. Ned and Chloe walk in and Ned immediately goes into a clinch with Alexis (the door was wide open, what if Aunt Gertrude had been there?) Jax and Chloe go over to the table and Jax recommends an eating place in Rome. He had a car accident in front of it once and they brought him food that was really good. Ned and Chloe make their goodbyes. Alexis is kind of depressed, but hoping to hide it. She tries to make this hokey analogy to Jax about if he had forgotten his bear repellent on a trip to Alaska he would miss it even if he didn't need it, etc. etc. Jax points out that there is no such thing as bear repellent and he doesn't want his wife pining over another man so she must need a distraction. Surprise, let's go on our honeymoon to Rome, too! (Could anyone have NOT seen that coming, it was SOOOOO obvious.)

Faison comes out and says hello to Felicia. He makes sure she knows she is not a prisoner by opening the door for her. She says she's not leaving without some answers. He points out that she could be called an intruder or trespasser then, (I love how this guy delivers his lines, so cool and detached.) She asks him where Anna and Robert are and he shrugs his shoulders, "I haven't received any Christmas cards from them." He starts talking about Robert and his vendetta against Faison and how sad it was that Anna threw herself away on Robert and if he had any comment on their deaths it would be good riddance. He starts to touch her face and talk about her beauty being wasted on the Scorpios and Mac rushes in and says, " Cesar Faison."

Sonny does his whole song and dance about protecting Hannah from seeing him like this since he scared her so bad that night that guy grabbed her. Jason tries to point out that Sonny's strategy didn't work in the past with Brenda why do it again (I completely agree, they've hashed this storyline to death). Benny comes over and says Carlos is in town and Sonny has to go to this important meeting, Sonny doesn't want to go so they talk about it and Jason decides to go.

Hannah goes to see Juan and assures him that Sonny cares about him. Back at the diner Hannah sits down with Mike and Juan's dad comes in to pay Juan's bill and collect his stuff. Tammy tells him that Sonny Corinthos paid Juan's bill and Juan's dad tells her to return Mr. Corinthos' money and he will pay the bill. He starts going off about how Sonny is not a friend of the family and this whole thing is his fault. Mike overhears and confronts Juan's dad, calling him a fool for telling Sonny that he was responsible for what happened to Juan. It looks like they're going to duke it out, but Hannah steps in and they back off. Hannah goes over to Sonny's and barges in saying if you're going to kick me out you have to do it yourself.

Previews: Nikolas asks Katharine what she's after now and Katharine says she wants some civility from the father of her baby. Ned and Chloe are surprised to see Jax and Alexis. Mac asks Faison how he survived, Faison tells him he has no idea what he's talking about. Hannah wants to help Sonny and asks him to please let her in.
