General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 4-Aug-1999

At the Q mansion, in the foyer, Monica and Alan tell Emily, who is looking at an ad for the Boyzone concert, that she can go out for one night to Luke's. They remind her that she is still grounded, but want to trust her for one night. In the parlor, Carly tries to convince Bobbie to cover for her. She tells Bobbie that she was helping a friend during Ned and Chloe's wedding. She refuses to tell Bobbie the name of the friend but tells her it's very important to her because she was actually being nice to someone. AJ comes in and wants to know where Carly was during the wedding. Carly tells AJ she was helping a friend but can't betray them by revealing their name. Bobbie and Carly leave.


At Kelly's ~ Liz and Laura are outside. Laura tells her the Outreach program is going ok. She goes inside and sees Felicia there. She is obviously uncomfortable in Felicia's presence and asks "so how *is* it that you and Luke got locked in a crypt?" Felicia says that someone they'd never suspect, someone harmless, locked them in the crypt. Outside, Liz invites Nik to go to see the Boyzone concert with her at Luke's. Laura asks Felicia several questions about Luke. She doesn't try to hide the fact that she is obviously jealous and maybe even a little angry that Felicia and Luke have become close and shared adventures. Katherine calls to find out if Liz and Nik are there. Felicia walks to her car. The alarm is going off. She sees Faison, lurking nearby. He walks away. Felicia turns off the alarm and gets in her vehicle and looks all around to make sure he is gone. Felicia goes back into Kelly's and tells Bobbie the whole story about her recent encounters with Faison. Bobbie wants her to report this latest sighting to the police. Felicia refuses. She doesn't want Mac to be a laughing stock. Bobbie and Felicia look all around Felicia's vehicle to make sure the coast is clear. Bobbie wants to follow Felicia home but Felicia says no. She gets in and drives off. Faison watches from the shadows.

Emily arrives at Kelly's and tells Liz and Nik that she is going to the Boyzone concert. She brings Juan his clothing in the hospital. She tells him that she got into his room by the fire escape. Emily and Juan join Nik and Liz at Luke's for the concert. Emily is thrilled to hear that Nik has broken up with Katherine. Outside Luke's, Katherine arrives but Laura stops her at the door, worried she may be there to see Nik. They have words. Claude comes out and asks Laura if there is a problem. Katherine backs off and leaves. Inside, Emily and Liz get all excited when members of the band talk to them. Claude asks Emily to introduce the band. She tells the story of how the group started and they sing a song. Back at the Q's, Alan and Monica worry about Emily but decide to go to their bedroom. AJ interrupts their kissing. Monica leaves but Alan stays to talk to AJ about Carly. AJ is convinced that the friend Carly was helping is Jason. Alan advises him not to have an overactive imagination. It can ruin a marriage. AJ should just accept the fact that Carly married *him*.

Hannah arrives at Sonny's penthouse and tells Johnny she wants to see Sonny. Jason comes out into the hallway and blocks the door when Hannah moves toward it. She becomes angry and leaves. Inside, Sonny asks Jason if he told Hannah to leave. Sonny is still in a daze. Later, when Carly arrives, Sonny is upstairs. She and Jason discuss Sonny. Carly assures Jason that he is not in this alone. He has her. When Hannah goes to Kelly's, she tells Tammy that Sonny makes her feel like a two-bit whore. He sleeps with her but doesn't want her around to share his problems. Later, she calls Sonny. She says hello before he speaks. He recognizes her voice and hangs up.

Carly comes home and Alan leaves AJ and Carly alone together. Carly tries to assure AJ that she is where she wants to be.

Liz and Nik are outside Luke's, leaving. She wants to drive his car, but he says no. She tries to get his keys and the predictable physical teasing follows. They look a little uneasy when they realize what has happened. As they walk off, Katherine appears from nowhere, with a sad face.

Emily and Juan are back in his hospital room. Amy walks in and tells Emily it's past visiting hours. Emily pleads with Amy to not tell her parents. Amy agrees. She tells the couple that Juan will be released tomorrow. Emily and Juan look sad. They had just been talking about Mr. Santiago taking Juan back to Puerto Rico as soon as he's released.
