General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 14-Jul-1999

Outside Kelly's, Laura tells Tony that the Outreach program just received a huge contribution. She says the donor made her skin crawl. Mr. "Gardner" didn't seem to show any sadness about his nephew. Tony reminds her that everyone deals with grief in their own way. Laura tries to explain about the queasy feeling she got from Mr. G. He was so cold. Tony urges her to take the check and just be happy for all the good that will result from the contribution. As Laura tells him how wonderful he's been and how she wishes everyone would give him a second chance, Bobbie comes along and overhears. Tony has to go to the hospital. Bobbie wants him to attend Lucas' next game and come back to the brownstone for pizza after. He leaves. Laura is amazed at what she heard. Bobbie explains she wants Lucas to be happy. Laura tells Bobbie how Luke has distanced himself from her because of her relationship with Stefan. She is concerned because he has also distanced himself from Lulu.

Faison visits Helena. He reminds her that he can slip in and out of Wyndemere easily because he used to live there. He will keep her informed of any new developments. He slips out when the nurse enters. The nurse finally leaves and Faison reenters. He tells Helena there is a complication- Luke is missing. Faison says he'll improvise, kisses Helena and leaves.

Felicia is getting more nervous about being trapped in the crypt. She and Luke talk about special things in life. Felicia has thoughts about the romance of Lila and Edward, but Luke still thinks Edward killed Elliot and put him in the crypt. Felicia has one of her fantasies where she is Lila and Luke is Edward going off to war. She becomes very sad. Luke goes to her and touches her face tenderly. He asks "are you ok?" She snaps out of it. He apologizes for not being optimistic. He says he's the world's biggest cynic. Luke wants to know about Felicia's fantasy. How did she picture young Edward? She reveals that she thought of someone else as Edward. Bubba? he assumes. She answers no. A movie star maybe? No again. She finally admits it's him. At first, he is flattered. Then, he is insulted. Felicia thinks of him as being as demonic as Edward? She says Edward just has "an edge" and thinks Edward and Luke have a lot in common. She lists all the ways they are alike. The last one is: they both can't accept defeat. Luke says neither can she. She gets a gleam in her eye and says that's why they'll get out of there alive.

Mac's concern for Felicia's disappearance is growing. He covers his feelings when Maxie and Georgie ask why their mother hasn't called.

At the police station, Mac tells Taggert that he has faxed Felicia's and Luke's pictures to the Oyster Bay police. Taggert is going to Oyster Bay. Mac tells him where to look, what to do. Taggert isn't worried - Felicia is no fool and she has Luke with her.

Back at Mac's house, he tells Bobbie that Luke and Felicia are missing. All he knows is that they went to Oyster Bay. They discuss the possibility of Faison being alive and Bobbie refuses to believe he isn't dead. Bobbie feels that if Luke and Felicia are in a jam, Luke will get them out of it. Mac is tired of everyone singing Luke's praises.

Outside Jake's, Emily stops Jason from hitting Juan. When Juan tries to justify his actions, Emily tells him that the situation with Sonny/Jason/Moreno is complicated. Sorel gets up and leaves. Jason insists that Emily leaves with him. He says she can't go back inside now that Sorel knows who she is. She and Jason leave on his bike. Juan is mad. He goes inside where Sorel says this was the second time he was impressed by him. He gives Juan cash. Juan tells him he can continue to impress him. He's looking for a job. Sorel asks if Juan knows what his business is. Juan replies that he's heard "opinions." Nik and Liz come in and are surprised when Juan tells them that Emily has left. The three get drinks and Juan pays with a large bill. V and Simon talk about their relationship. He thinks they were meant to be. Juan tells Nik and Liz that Jason is a punk. He doesn't like the way Jason controls Emily. Nik says that if Jason really wanted to hurt Juan, he would have. Even after Liz warns him not to get involved with Sorel, Juan approaches Sorel, saying he's ready for his first assignment. Sorel and Juan go outside. Sorel needs to know that Juan can keep his mouth shut. He gives Juan his card and asks him to come and see him tomorrow.

Jason enters his penthouse. He calls Sonny and leaves a message on his machine, "we have a Juan situation." A knock at the door: it's Hannah. She wants to do something for the cuts on his face. He doesn't want her to fuss. As she cleans his cuts, she urges him to file assault charges. Jason assumes Hannah is there to see Sonny. She tells him they had an altercation because she withheld information from him. Jason says "you mean you lied." She keeps attempting to rephrase what she did, but Jason grins and keeps saying she lied. She claims she wanted to dump her old baggage and start a new life with Sonny. She continues to clean his cuts and just as she and Jason get close, Sonny enters. He says he can come back later. Hannah becomes indignant. Did he think she was seducing Jason? Did he think she was betraying him? Hannah gets angrier and tells Sonny that she assumes she has no job and no place to live now since he was responsible for her getting those. She leaves. Sonny asks Jason to tell him what happened with Juan. After being told, Sonny is concerned that Juan is taking sides with Moreno to get back at him.

Back to outside Kelly's - Juan sees Hannah looking sad and asks if she's seen Sonny. He tells her that Sonny likes her. She says she knows Sonny likes him too. Sonny wants to see Juan safe and back in school. Juan wants to turn Sonny around but Hannah tells him he can't.
