General Hospital Update for Friday, 9-Jul-1999

I missed the opening. Carly is talking to Jason; about he never made any promises to her to break. The only one she can remember him making is that he'd wait for her and Michael. Sonny is at Kelly's talking to Tammy. She thanks him for fixing the windows, and she seems to think she may know who broke (?) them. She asks if he is getting into trouble again.

Tammy tells Sonny about the strange guy that was pestering Hannah. She seemed to know him, and Tammy didn't think it was any of her business. Sonny is not happy to hear this. Tammy runs out to a civic association meeting. Sonny stands there and thinks. He recalls his conversation with Hannah about the doctor she used to date. Hannah comes downstairs. Tony is at Luke's office. He is looking over some skulls that Luke has shown him. One is a 60+-yr. old man. Another skull is from a much younger 20+ man. There seems to be an indentation. Fall on a sharp rock possibly, but more than likely it was not an accident. Like a hammer blow. Tony, on his way out from *not being there* asks Felicia why she couldn't have found something less ghoulish. Chloe is talking to Lila about her aunt and the will with Ned. Chloe is grateful she can talk to Lila about this. Lila tells her that even though they are fond of each other, she can see that its not love between her and Ned. Ned asks her to keep it a secret. Lila says that she has kept many secrets over the years, what is one more. Carly is talking to Jason still. Jason says that the promise he made was to protect Michael from anything. But he didn't' know the thing that would hurt Michael the most would be him.

Carly asks who put this idea in Jason's head that he would ever hurt Michael. Jason says that he has done a wrong thing. What? Let's discuss this, she says. Jason takes a deep breath. He says that he's giving him up. He will not have shared custody etc, not see him at all. Carly asks why he is doing this. Is this Sonny's doing? Jason asks how many homes Michael has. None! Not two! He isn't happy in either place. He loves me, but he doesn't' know why he has to get used to the mansion if Jason will be there to save him. Jason says that it has to end. Someone has to quit this, and the logical person is ME, NOW! Carly says that she just has to be married a bit longer, then she can leave AJ and be a family. You, Michael me, the way we planned. Jason says that she did good, called all the shots, but AJ didn't play along. He will be Michael's family forever. Hannah and Sonny are eating their dinners. Ned/Jax/Alexis/Chloe are eating dinner. Jax gets frustrated at his new wife. They all smile together. Jax seems to be getting annoyed at all these little habits of Alexis'.

Jerry shows up at the Grill with John and Jane Jacks. They are all very interested in Alexis, what she is like. Jane sees that she is very beautiful, smart etc. Jax thanks his brother's big mouth. Jerry teases him that everyone could see how deeply they are in love. Jax glares at him. Missed a moment. Hannah and Sonny were talking about the doctor. She says that she doesn't want to talk about it at all. Carly tells Jason that he has it all wrong. She will figure it out. She will take care of him there till she can shake loose of AJ. Jason says that AJ has a legal right to his son, and the courts will always let him have his son, no matter what. Carly starts to cry, saying that Jason is doing this to punish *her*. Jason says that he doesn't want Michael to learn that his mother caused his father's downfall. Jason says that it's the only way, for him to leave them. Carly says that Jason is Michael's father, the only father he has. She pulls herself together and says that she will tell Michael that his "father" will be back tomorrow to see him.

Luke and Felicia are trying to open back up George Q's crypt. She freaks out, but then they get it going together again. Jane is telling Alexis stories about Jax. Jax stops her before it gets too personal. The Jack's finally leave. Jax asks Jerry what he could have been thinking. Jerry says that he was only trying to help the illusion for Gertrude. Jerry flirts with Alexis, till Jax kicks him out. Alexis sits back down with Jax. She says that its obvious his parents love him. Chloe and Ned are back home. Chloe says that Alexis and Jax are trapped, they need to be sprung. Ned tells her that they all are adults and have free will. He says that the Jacks will go home, and Gertrude will go home, and they will all go back to their lives. Chloe says that he's the best. After Ned walks out the door, Edward comes out of the living room. She asks if he was eavesdropping. He says that she should just tell him what is going on, so he wouldn't have to.

Carly is back in the mansion. Edward is still talking to Chloe. She says that it's because of his letters that she is there. He asks why she didn't ask ELQ to back her company. The doorbell rings. Edward opens it to find Jason. Jason says that he is there to say good bye to Michael. Jax and Alexis are talking about his parents, his family etc. She likes the idea of having a family and tells Jax that she is going to stay around for a while. Luke and Felicia are done playing with the crypt. Felicia says a short little prayer for the souls of the bodies in George's crypt. As they are getting ready to leave, the door to the mausoleum slams shut. Hannah is walking back home through a darkened Kelly's. She goes into her room, turns on the light. She sees a man sitting in the chair and starts to say, "I thought I told you...." till she sees that its Sonny. Sonny asks, "though you told whom?"
