Today's was one of those episodes where, for the most part, all of the most boring characters parade across the screen blabbing about all of the most tedious storylines.

I.
Chloe arrives at Jax's to arrange a dinner to help V and Simon get to know each other. Their conversation was part banter, part contemplative. Jax tells Chloe that Simon has to back off, and they jokingly decide that Jax should demonstrate on Chloe how Simon should treat V. They kid about dancing, recall the evening when they danced together in the rain, and are all bright smiles and shining eyes at each other! Jax says, "Hopefully at the end of the evening, Simon and V will realize that they're perfect for reach other" - the subtext clearly being that Chloe & Jax must come to this realization.

Shortly after this, Jax runs into V outside of Kelly's where she is wearing that stupid disguise and attempting to book another gig for Ned (which he will no doubt refuse to play - how many foolish bar owners will book his band before they get the hint?). Jax tells V that he needs her to join him & Chloe in his penthouse for dinner - he doesn't want Chloe to think it's a date. V agrees. "Your place is the one apartment I know Simon'll never be at." Can you say dramatic irony?

Later that night, V is at Jax's when there's a knock at the door. V goes into the kitchen as Jax answers the door, ushering a giddy Simon and a glowing Chloe into the room. V reenters and slams down her tray - "You set me up!"

II.
Grumpy Hannah enters Kelly's after a long run during which she unsuccessfully tried to put Sonny out of her mind. She tells Tammy, "I bailed. I quit. Whateer we had, it's over... So why do I feel like I'm already regretting it?" She keeps complaining on & on, but Tammy defends Sonny. Hannah asks her if she thinks she should go back to him. She has to decide if his business matters so much that she must walk away from him.

Meanwhile, Sonny flashes to back to the previous evening when Hannah very matter-of-factly, unceremoniously dumped him. "I'm not gonna get killed for you," she told him. A knock on the door - and who should enter but Mike Corbin. "What about the coffee business?" he rants. "Why are you going back to this? You have so much to lose!" Mike keeps pushing in his usual annoying manner and makes a comment about how he's not wearing a wire, so why isn't Sonny being straight with him? Sonny spazzes, throws one of those crystal vodka flasks against the wall, and blasts, "I'm alive!" They yell at each other some more (It's really not worth going into detail about what; this was only the 1000th time they've have the exact same argument), and Mike storms out.

Later that night, Sonny is on the phone telling Benny to find Marino when there's a knock at the door. Hannah enters, swinging her hips and tossing her madly, then strikes a sultry pose. "You came back." "Am I still welcome?" she purrs.

III.
In his back office, Luke is breathing heavily over a diamond that Herr Krieg (really, Cesar Faison, of course) has brought for him. Herr Krieg needs Luke's expertise and experience to import the rest of his diamonds. Krieg insists he needs an immediate answer, but Luke, after having explained that he will not be pushed, tells him, "I'm not your man." Krieg tells Luke, then, that he will be patient, and gives Luke the diamond.

Just as Faison exits one door of the office, Laura comes through the other. The conversation starts off in their trying-so-hard-to-be-nice voices, but after Laura presents him with the number of Stefan's country house where Luke can reach her & Lulu, Luke turns gruff, and Laura turns pathetic. "I thought I was doing the right thing! I didn't come here to fight! Please call, Luke..." He sourly crumples the number as she leaves.

Next through Luke's revolving door o' fun enters Lesley, who begs him to take care of Laura in place of Stefan. Lesley thinks that through comforting each other over Lucky's death, they will find their way back to each other. Luke stoicly tells her, "We ran hot, but we burned out. It's over... We can only do more damage to each other. Don't push us back to where we were." And the revolving door spins once more, bringing Luke his fourth visitor of the day, Felicia. Lesley shuffles out as Felicia bops in. Lila cancelled their meeting for the first time, she bubbles nervously. They end up returning to Oyster Bay anyway.

IV.
Stefan meets Nicolas in the park to berate him for putting his job ahead of his family. He asks Nic to go to the country house with Laura, Lulu Lesley, and him. Nic, much to Stefan's consternation, offers merely to visit every day. After presenting a number of unconvincing counterarguments, Stefan sternly tells Nic, "I will tell her to expect a visit from you tomorrow."

Later, Nic finds Liz at Kelly's to tell her about the great success of her t-shirt. She runs to the back to try one on. Tammy tells Nic, "You are some kind of magic man. I haven't seen her this happy in a long time." Liz returns, and much gratuitous admiration of the t-shirt ensues. (Yes, ABC, we know. We can buy the really cool t-shirt, too.)

Stefan ends up at his country house, where a dowdy Laura is sitting dully in the garden. They discuss the lilacs. "You've been so good to me." "That's what I want to be."

V.
Jason, Carly, and Michael are playing on a swingset in the park. Jason mocks Carly's plan. Carly ends up tickling Jason, then suddenly runs and leaps (I kid you not) over the bushes to hide when she hears AJ's voice. He chastises Jason for putting Michael in a swing that's too large (uh, OK), then whines to Jason about how today is the first meeting of "Toddler Time with Daddy," and can he pretty please have Michael for the afternoon? "Let me get this straight: You signed up for a class to learn how to play with Michael?" Jasons asks. AJ whines some more, and Jason gives him Michael for the afteroon. Much later, after it is already dark, Jason and Carly are still in the park, talking by the swings. Jason ends up pushing Carly on the swing.

VI.
Alan and Monica have lunch at Kelly's and have a totally trite conversation about (1) Being chief of staff of GH & (2) AJ's marriage - "This is just the clam before the nuclear meltdown," declares Monica.

I trust you didn't find this summary to be too obnoxious! Take care - happy GH watching -
