General Hospital Update for Monday, 7-Jun-1999

Okay, here we go, the update for Monday June 7, 1999.

Luke drops in on Laura at the hospital. They have an emotional scene sharing stories of “seeing” Lucky, and their grief. Laura obsesses that she’s let everyone down, and Luke tells her it’s all going to be all right. He also suggests she get out of town for a bit, and she tells him she already has plans – with Stefan…which of course, Luke doesn’t really want to hear. Luke and Laura talk some more, and have a good cry together. Finally Luke starts to leave, kisses her, and they both really sound anguished as they cry and slowly he leaves.

Simon is hanging out at the table (at Luke’s) with Chloe and V. They have a fun scene with V trying to convince Simon she’s nothing like the woman he met in Monte Carlo. She just ends up endearing him more…and she storms off.

Meanwhile at another table, AJ and Carly are looking mighty cozy, and Jason isn’t impressed. Carly looks like she wants to jump out of her skin every time he touches her. Bobbie drops by Jason and thanks him for everything he’s done and given up for Carly and little Michael.

Sonny and Hannah are in bed. Taggert storms in on them and arrests Sonny for burning down two of Marino’s warehouses, and something to do with Marino’s disappearance (later they call it conspiracy to commit murder….sorry if I missed something here!) Poor Hannah is sitting there barely dressed while Taggert is ogling her through the scene. Sonny is pretty indignant about the way they’re treating her.

When they get Sonny back to the station, Mac and Justus separate him from Taggert because of their history. Hannah runs to Luke’s and gets Jason, who in turn gets Alexis. Alexis comes in, tells Hannah to stop giving a statement without counsel, chews out Mac for not waiting for Sonny’s attorney, and then asks Sonny if he’s guilty. She promptly refuses to represent him. On her way out the door, she tells Jason to get out of there and don’t look back. Jason goes to Sonny offering to help, and Sonny refuses. All Sonny wants to know is

AJ gets Carly home alone and they start to talk and relax a bit, joking about their somewhat wild pasts. The phone rings and Ned asks for some ELQ papers right away, so AJ has to leave. He comes back but the mood is gone…did I mention while he was gone, Carly was really mean to Letecia…who appeared to be in the hallway with Reginald?

Back to Luke, he’s alone and really crying into his beer.

Show ends with Sonny getting another visitor in the interrogation room…Hannah…who is offering to wait with him. And that’s the end…
