General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 26-May-1999

Sonny dropped by Luke's office to tell him about Moreno's foiled attempt on his life. Since he knows that Moreno will not stop until he succeeds, Sonny told Luke that he believes he now has only 2 choices: to run or to take back his territory........and he's not running. Luke wants to know why Sonny is even telling him all this and Sonny says to warn him and let him know that he will keep him informed if anything is coming his way. Luke says it always comes his way, that Sonny messed things up enough in the past that he no longer has confidence in him. The door opens and Hannah overhears (doesn't she ever knock?). Luke exits and Sonny and Hannah dance around what she overheard, to which she responds that she has "already learned not to ask questions." (gag!)

Emily and Jason have lunch together. Jason asks her to leave Carly alone and to try to make an effort to keep things smooth for Michael's sake. He needs her to try to make life at the Q's as comfortable as possible for his son. She agrees to try. Later on they return to the mansion where there is a cute scene with Jason and Michael. Its one of those great natural moments where Michael grabs Jason's nose and grunts "naaa" and Jason says "yes, that's my nose" after which the baby immediately goes for Jason's eye and says "eye" and then baby swings his hand onto Jason's head and so on. Jason then takes a flower out of an arrangement for the baby to smell. Little Michael makes a face and turns his head and Jason makes note that he doesn't like it, starts chuckling and puts the flower back. Of course this scene has nothing to do with the story - I just love the unscripted stuff. Later on Jason is at Jake's to play pool and Hannah shows up and challenges him to a game with a bet of $10.

The rest of the show revolved around Carlie and A.J.'s wedding. Edward keeps pestering AJ to get Carlie's signature on the pre-nup. We never do find out if she signs it. AJ went to her room and told her it was just a formality to apease his grandfather so that he can be appointed CEO of ELQ. He asks Carlie to sign it for the sake of the family.

Carlie admits to Bobbie that she loves Jason but he only sees her as a friend and that AJ wants her. Later Bobbie gives Carlie a lace hanky with her soon to be new initials embroidered on it. Lila also drops by to welcome Carlie to the family and gives a gift of "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" all wrapped into one: a diamond & sapphire necklace and earring set. Carlie looks beautiful by the way, in a strapless gown with a satin bodice and full skirt made of layers of tooling.

Alan and AJ have a heart-to-heart. Alan apologizes for his lousy performance as a father. He gives AJ the cuff-links he wore when he married Monica (I assume the first time). Alan also tells AJ that he is very proud that he is his son. AJ starts crying and tells his dad that is all he ever wanted. Later Monica also offers her support to AJ.

Its finally time for the wedding. The music plays, the guests stand and Carlie makes her entrance (unescorted). She looks very nervous and starts to walk up the aisle.......or does she?
