General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 11-May-1999

Laura begins her new job at GH, where Stephan is there to give her moral support. She tells him she can't imagine her life without him. Later, she has her first case, a young runaway named Tripper, who reminds her of Lucky. She holds it together until he leaves, then bursts into tears, telling Stephan that she can't help anyone else, when she can't evan help herself.

Felicia takes Chloe to met the Quartermaines, where she is witness to a typical Quartermaine bloodletting over the custody trial. Chloe seems starry eyed over Edward, who tries to get her to let him "Borrow" the loveletters. She agrees, then tells him that she has memorized every letter. This seems to worry Lila and Edward a great deal.

Jax sees a dark haired women standing outside of Kelly's in the rain. He spins her around, calling out Brenda's name. It is not Brenda, but Hannah Scott. He is shocked by her resemblance to Brenda, but gathers himself together and apologizes to her. He explains to her that Brenda was his fiance and that she died in a car accident. They part company, Jax going home to his apartment and Hannah going to see Jason. Jax spends some time looking at all of the things that were Brenda's. Then he began to pack them away, telling Jerry that Brenda had sent a message to his heart, telling him it was time to let go and go forward.
Meanwhile, Hannah grills Jason about Brenda, wanting to know if Sonny was attracted to her because she resembled Brenda. She tells him that she wants to be wanted for herself, not for her resemblance to someone else.

Bobbie tries without much success to recruit guests for Carly's bridal shower. Luke at first declines the invitation, then agrees to go after hearing that Felicia will likely be attending.

Edward gives A.J a prenuptial agreement to present to Carly. He declines to do so now, but accidentally leaves it where Carly can find it. Carly reads it and is livid.
