General Hospital Update for Friday, 16-Apr-1999

As the show begins, Carly and Hanna continue their fight from Thursday's show. Sonny and Jason break up the fight. Carly tells Hanna to keep her hands off "my man". Sonny drags Hanna back inside Luke's while Jasosn and Carly talk outside.

Carly uses the old "someone has to look out for you" line to justify her attack on Hanna. Jason reminds her that she in middle of her plot to seduce AJ and that she should not be concerned if he wants to flirt with anyone. Big surprise - Carly goes ballistic and tells Jason she carrying out her plan for Jason; so that she, Michael, and he can be a family. Carly says she and Michael can stay with the Q's if Jason doesn't like her. Jason reminds Carly of all he has put of with and that he wouldn't do it if he didn't like her. Carly says she needs to be reminded of that and thanked for her efforts. Jason thanks for for the wonderful things she's done - double crossing him, leaving him alone with Michael then giving him to the Q's. Carly says she and Michael will be fine without him and storms off - for a total of about 5 feet. Carly walks back and berates Jason for not chasing after her. Jason asks why Carly has to complicate everything. He says that, yes, he likes her and reminds her of the things she's done for him. He tells her that her plan to seduce and marry AJ will fail because she always freaks out and screws things up. Jason begs Carly to calm down - for all their sakes. Jason takes Carly to the Q's and they talk outside. Carly tells Jason she acts the way she does because she is afraid Jason won't be waiting for her and Michael if her plan works. Jaon assures Carly that he is in it for the long haul. They agree that the stakes are high and hug. Carly initiates a kiss and Jason participates.

Inside Luke's, Sonny accuses Hanna of putting on an act to get his attention. Hanna admits that Sonny has saved her from being mugged and unemployed. She admits that she asked Luke about Sonny. Sonny gives her the sanitized version of his life story. Hanna admits an affair with a college professor. Sonny offers her a ride home. She resists, but agrees after he threatens to follow her home.

Lucky and Liz clean up after Liz's dinner party. Liz saved some NY-style pretzels for Lucky and they horse around as Luke looks on from outside Kelly's. Luke begins to leave but is stopped and invited in by Lucky. Liz goes to the kitchen so Lucky can bond with Luke. Lucky tells Luke about the plan to move to NYC. Luke is happy for the kids. Lucky makes a touching speech giving Luke credit for the person Lucky has become and the person he will be. Lucky tells Luke that Lulu needs him. Luke and Lucky complete their bonding with Luke's touching speech telling Lucky that he is Luke's role model. Liz and Lucky say goodbye to Luke. Lucky tells Liz he has forgiven his parents and credits her for his personal growth. Lucky says that he loves his parents. They dance and Lucky takes Liz to Audrey's. Liz makes her touching speech about how Lucky saved her. They agree to meet in the morning and Lucky leaves. Back at his apartment, Lucky calls saying he can't sleep. He lights a candle because it reminds him of her and they hang up. Lucky falls asleep with the candles burning. Later, Liz dreams of them dancing and has a vision of sirens. She sits up in bed, then goes back to sleep. The scene cuts to Lucky's inferno of an apartment.

A few minutes of the show were spent with Laura and Stefan having dinner. Laura gushes about her children bonding and says that she feels like she's found a new family. Stefan tells Laura he is taking her to Paris. Nicholas is babysitting Lulu and the doorbell rings. It's Luke who has come to see Lulu. Nick goes upstairs.
