General Hospital Update for Friday, 2-Apr-1999

Ned is talking to Alexis on the dock. She tells him that the Dr in Geneva might have some info they need. He tells her he doesn't want her to go. Jax is waiting for Alexis in his airplane. He smiles at the memories of Brenda's first flight. Jason is talking to Sonny, he is sure that Moreno knows that it's them screwing with his drug shipments. Jason says that he only takes chances to hang onto Michael, "what are your choices? to get dead or shot," he tells Sonny. AJ is on the phone, making arrangements for a meeting on the docks, but he warns the other person that tonight is the last meeting they are going to have.

Carly comes in; she and AJ talk about going out to dinner again. He comments on how far their relationship has come, how they are trying to get together as parents. She apologizes for asking him out, but then having him pay for it. He tells her not to worry about talking about $ in this house. Jason is telling Sonny that planning things, and having someone else doing the dirty work is the hardest part. He tells Sonny to meet him at Jake's, its unlikely that Moreno will go there to find them. Ned tells Alexis that if she is going gallivanting around the globe, he wishes it were with him. She says that she will be careful and will be back soon.

Ned is back home. He finds Felicia there, and hands her an envelope as a down payment. He says that just seeing Lila having a good time is worth any price. He asks how far they have gotten. Felicia tells him that Lila has been talking about Crane Tolliver. They talk for a moment, and then Ned goes to find Lila for her. Alexis is climbing into Jax's plane. She is very uneasy about sitting in the front, and asks for a co-pilot. Jax only says that Jerry can't make it. She is extremely nervous. She wonders if Helena has sabotaged the plane. Jax tells her about the precautions he has taken, and says that they will be back before Helena ever finds out. Sonny is on the docks with Mike. He remembers meeting Brenda there, and then we go through other flashbacks of Brenda ("crazy love" as background music). Carly is at the penthouse. Jason asks why she is there, and if she needs money from him. She laughs that AJ gave her some money. She says that she should be charging the Q's $1000 a day for putting up with them. She says that the penthouse is a kind of haven for her. Jason is pointedly ignoring her. He asks her finally what she wants. She asks if psychiatrists can be bribed. She says that this custody trial thing is going to be uglier than they thought. "Uglier than calling me a kidnapper and a violent person?" She says for him just to say that she was lying about him. She tells him that Tony is going to testify to Jason's mental condition, saying that he is emotionally detached and not capable of loving Michael.

Carly asks if Jason is just giving up on her. Jason says that if Alexis says that there is a doctor testifying against him, he will find someone to testify for him. But it doesn't help him to know ahead of time to know what AJ is doing. He tells her that she is taking great risks coming there so often. She says that they all hate her there, and tells him that Bobbie called her a gold digging tramp. She wonders why she put up with all this. He says that he has no choice but to go along with her plan, so why shouldn't he hate her too? She is close to tears, telling him about seeing their future, the 3 of them. She asks if he believe her that they are a family. He says that families don't always stay together. She says that she is trying her best, the only way she knows how. Felicia is sitting on the floor, taking notes for her talk with Lila. Alan and Monica come in, totally engaged in their kiss. Before they get too far, Felicia stands up and makes her presence known. Alexis, up in the plane, has her eyes shut tightly, saying her Hail Mary's. Jax tells her to open her eyes, and offers to let her take the controls of the plane. She asks if he has taught anyone to fly, and if so, is that person still alive. He is silent, then gasps, remembering Brenda. Sonny and Mike sit on the bench at the docks. Mike asks if he is thinking of Brenda. All Sonny says is "go to hell Mike".

Sonny says that if there was a better place to pay his respects to Brenda, he would. But where she ended up, he can't go. Mike understands. Mike tells him that he is afraid for Sonny, not knowing how to grieve. He talks about how others cry comfort each other etc, and then go on with their lives. "But you don't get that, the going on. How long are you going to grieve with your bottle of scotch? Death means an end." Sonny complains about him, leaving when he was young. Mike stands up and says that Sonny is the one who is good at leaving. "You left Brenda, you left your life, and even tried to leave your mind. But somehow, someone dragged you back to your sanity. Do what Brenda would have wanted; start living your life." Jax is talking with Alexis about falling in love with Brenda. She (Brenda) was completely fearless, and that sadness behind her eyes disappeared when she was flying. She was so happy flying. "Having her here gave me a different benchmark for happiness. I loved giving Brenda things, just to make her happy. Today would have been her birthday." Felicia is talking to Lila now. They talk about Lila's house growing up. Felicia is hoping to get some details of the background. Lila talks about her brother Hal, and how much Ned reminds her of him. Felicia talks about learning to swing dance, and how much she is getting into living Lila's life. Lila talks about how easy it is to fall in love on the dance floor, and how she used to practice, just hoping someone would ask her. Jason is in a warehouse. He silently walks in, looking around. He hears a crash, then hides. There are voices, and 3 men come in. They go into another part of the warehouse. Jason calls Benny, and tells him to make the call to PCPD, its time.

Lila and Felicia talk for a moment, the Felicia gets lost in her memoirs. Alexis tells Jax that she took her shoes off, expecting to crash. He laughs at her nervousness. Carly is at Kelly's. She asks Tammy if she has seen AJ. Tammy warns her to be careful on the docks. AJ is meeting up with his man. AJ hands him money, and tells him not to think of blackmail. The man says that he is not going to risk having Sonny and Jason as enemies. AJ says that if anyone finds out that he hired him to torch the warehouse, there will be hell to pay. At the warehouse, Jason is still hiding, but he hears the police come in and make the arrests.
